i have big problem and cannot find the way to solve it
my thief metal age was runnin great but after windows /!@!#@$% OS / i had to reinstall thief
after installing the game pathing it with thief_the_metal_age_premier_patch_107_to_118
installing ddlfix, multicorefix , widescreenfix it does not plays any ingame movies. The game just skips them so no intro just blink and the game goes strictly to play stage. As to outro i can hear the sound but no video
i did the same steps before reinstalling the OS and the game was runnin great
Ive already checked the FAQ but nothing works for me i did various stages of installation without ddlfix without multicorefix and widescreen nothing helped
ive downloaded ligos codec and still nothing. the ingame video doesnt work only in game when i use player i can see everything help plz
the computer without thief working properly is nothing but soulless machine :)

its a common problem, happens to my game sometimes too...
at the start button, click and go onto the "Run" option
then type into the text box :
regsvr32 ir50_32.dll
then click OK
it should give you a box saying it ran successfully, this should fix your problem

strange, that usually works for me...
go into My Computer, right click "D:" drive and click "explore", double click "Thief2", double click the "Movies" folder and double check that the movies are actually there...if they are, see if they will open up in windows media player...
just out of interest, are you using windows vista or xp?
you might wanna check the eidos technical support forum out aswell (

I know you already stated that you checked FAQ's for solutions of your problem, but do you know (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=75031#movies) this one? I remember I used some of those advices to fix 'broken' videos in my T2 months ago. I don't know if those are valid for OS you have though.
I always feel a bit silly communicating with someone from my country in foreign language... :rolleyes:

my os is xp
yes there are movies in that directory
yes i can play them in WM
yes ive tried that
