Tech. support - Morrowind crashes, need help - by SLIEZER

Hi all,
I've asked Bethsed twice, and i havn't got a reply from them.
So, here's my problem:
Morrowind crashes at specific places. (Like close to ghostgate)
I have no idea why.. Before i uppgraded my computer, I had a geforce3, 256 ram, And i got NO crashes. But after i uppgraded it, To geforce4ti4200, 384 MB ram i started to get these crashes.
I have the latest drivers for the video card, It's not that.
It must be the RAM. I read somewhere, Morrowind dosn't support 384MB ram (Only 64 - 128 - 256 - 512 blah blah...)
They said i should somehow - "Inactivate" 1 stick, the 128 RAM.
I have NO idea how-to, Can anyone tell me? :)

Does it always crash in the same place?
I can't help with the inactivating a memory card, but keep in mind Morrowind crashes a lot anyway. There's not much you can do about it, sadly. If you put all the settings down (view distance, AI distance.. all that good stuff) it might help, as well as make the game run faster.

Yeah - It ALWAYS crashes on specific places, like close to Red Mountain (Which means i can't complete the Temple Quests! :erm: )
It's not that my comp. "sucks", I played Morrowind on a 256RAM geforce3 1.4 Ghz without crashes.

Hmm.. it may very well be that some bit of an advanced graphics feature is buggy for your system (for whatever reason), and cutting down what the game uses may bypass it. As to 'disabling' a memory stick, you've got two choices: Disable it in BIOS (if your BIOS supports that) or just yank it out (power the comp off 1st, of course). Luck.

Hmm, How do i disable it in BIOS?

Who said you should inactivate a stick of memory? I have 896 and it runs just fine...

I ran Morrowind with 384 megs of RAM for the last year, and it worked fine.
Well, as fine as a P3 600mhz machine can. :) So that Deactivate RAM solution sounds unneccessary.
Do you have all the most recent patches for the game? Some of them fixed graphics issues. Also, have you dialed down all the graphics features via the Options menu in the game? Draw distance, detail level, etc?

Yepp.
Everything. (I've asked Betsheda twice, and looked at the "Help-guide")
Everything is up-to-date. I have no idea what's wrong. It worked before..

I read on a support-page (Not made by Bethseda) that 384, 640... Dosn't work.
