Hey All,
So, I've recently installed thief gold on my pc again but this time I was keen to try beefing it out a bit with the texture upgrades and such. So, I follow the links in the technical FAQ to orGy's texture patch page and downloaded it.
Now, i read in the FAQ that sometimes the patch will make textures go a funky solid blue etc. and that to fix it one must "stall Darkloader, run it and let it optimize your Thief installation after you have installed the texture patch." So, I've installed Darkloader and tried running it, however, it just takes me the main Darkloader screen and I still get funny solid blue textures.
Am I missing something? How exactly do I let darkloader "optimize my thief installation"?
Also, on his site, oRGy mention there being 2 texture patches a hardware and a software version and that if one doesn't work you should try the other but, on the web page, it only allows you to download one of them.
If anyone can let me know what to do it would be sweet, also, I'll post my pc specs if need be.

I've spent an hour trying to find how to optimize when it doesn't ask me if I want to. :o
[Edit] I've at last found something in another thread that says Darkloader will only optimize if it needs to. Is that right?
