Someone commented yesterday that I have a unique way of making tea, they said: "oh, a swirler, I've never seen one of those before, I know plenty of dippers and squashers but no swirlers". Okay, fair enough. WHAT?!?
Whenever I make tea, I put the teabag and if it's on a string - like most are these days - I pour in the water and swirl in clockwise/anticlockwise rotations until it is lovely brown and then I add a splash of milk and away I go.
I guess you can dip your teabag in and out your teacup comes to a climax but that's a rather ineffective way of making tea, I'd say, and similar to the concrete shoes method of just letting it sink to the bottom and stew for a while before mashing up its innards with a spoon to unlock the flavour. I'm pretty sure I've tried all of these and my way always tastes best, plus I'm constantly complimented on making a great cuppa.
So what do you do with you tea?
And if you're one of those weirdos who puts in the milk first you can own up to that too.
Yes. I know, most inane thread ever but it's been a while since there's been one around (except for all the TERRIBLY INANE ones) and hey why not throw a poll in there too!

I dunk it and let it bathe for about 2 minutes, and then squeeze the little bastard. This has got me wanting some peppermint tea right now. Off I go!

Scots, if the Aussie government find out your drinking tea instead of a stubbie, you're gonna be deported quick-fast.

Stew then squash, its the only way to be sure.

I almost never have teabags, but when I do I let it brew for 2 minutes without touching it and then put it in a glass (no squeezing) for reusing one more time.

I put the teabag in the cup, pour hot water in, then bounce the bag up and down until the water is black. Then add cream and sugar.

Leave the tea till it gets very well brewed then squeeze it.
I like loose tea and a Teapot, though In preference.

Nah, a stubby is a bottle; a tinnie is metal.
I've never drunk tea (I don't generally do hot drinks). Is it any good?
