I thought I'd post an update
Known Bugs/Incomplete stuff:
* Player can still frob through display case glass & walls, & the glass won't break (any ideas?)
* Sideways room "floor bugs" do not harm the player yet. FIXED
* Set dressing that's triggered to fall when player enters does no harm yet. FIXED
* May need more detail in the readables. FIXED
* Crypt of Rest is bouncy.
* There'll be times of slow performance (mainly the throne room (WIP), library, & outside). Too many emitters and sound in one zone. FIXED
* Some normal mapped textures might look funky (WIP)
* Still no progress on how to end my mission.
Additions, Fixes, & Enhancements:
* Expanded the outside & revamped a lot of the architecture
* Used customized John P. hi-res textures - Garrett w/covered arms & no-scar, plus altered textures & normal maps WIP
* Fixed skybox. No more endless sky.
* UI changes - T1/2 weapons + items cycle, Minimalist style hud (thanks New Horizon!)
* Added new scripts & objects to gamesys - edible food, AI State Display, manipulatable quest items, inventory books (thanks ProjectX!), inventory keys (thanks Rantako!)
* Added ambient sounds
* Added stuff to empty rooms (a lot of stuff ;) )
* Added more readables
* Chalice objectives enhanced. You actually have a chalice you can manipulate WIP.
* Alcove BSP holes fixed
* Loot scores fixed
* First floating paper is hidden until objective is complete
* FX material/& SFX added to East Hall doors to indicate that they're under magical influences. Very subtle but doing any more with it would cause a total mental breakdown. Those door scripts are very tricky.
* Fixed "souls" emitter sounds so they're not on all the time
* Replaced torches with electrics in the throne room to cut on on emitter use (still doesn't help performance :p )
* Library bookshelves no longer shadow cast
* General lighting fixes
Screenshots will come with the next beta.

Great map - though one problem for me, I can't seem to pick up the Chalice.
I've tried picking up everything in all the display cases even the ones in the ceiling, but nothing completes the objective. I'm asuming the chalice is the bowl thing with four legs on the ceiling?
Any help or ideas would be great - I've run the mission a few times and done things in different orders and nothing seems to work.

You passed (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=100158) this link. It's for beta 0.7. The Chalice has been moved but even after you complete all the objectives you won't be able to complete the mission do to a scripting mistake. I'd wait for beta 0.8 which hopefully will be out sometime this week . . .

Ah ok thanks, don't know how I missed that other thread - great level by the way!

I have problems loading/running this after Gonchong's Vintage game. When it's fixed, please post the news, ok? Thanks.

This FM has me totally baffled. I've read various parts of these threads and none of them make any sense at all. I have what seems to be version 1.1 which I presume to be a complete version but I still haven't a clue where to find the chalice and how to get into the west area.
If the chalice is in one of the glass cases in the room with the rows of three cases (one set upside-down, the other three standing normally) then it must have disappeared as was suggested in an earlier post.
Plus I've found what seems to be the place where this door is supposed to open after finding the information about the sleeper in the secret door along the corridor. This is a room with two books on stands and a pagan potted plant in the middle. There is definitely the outline of one or possibly two secret doors but I haven't a clue how to open them.
Does anyone know what's going on with this mission as I hear a lot of positive things about it but personally I'm just finding it infuriating.

The chalice is no longer in the case with 1.1.
a chest, inventory style keys (scroll with the mouse to choose it), that key is in the west near the plant.Quote:
