Banner room . . . I wish I had official names for the rooms . . .
2nd floor, where the
crate wall breaks through into from the mirror room.
Re. the sleeper quest note - I see now you're updating the objectives from getting the chalice - that's ok.
Chalice is in the display case. Glasses are near the first two books, bottom shelf.
Ah OK, got it, I'd hit it with my blackjack and knocked it "through" the case shelf. BTW there is also a chalice there that glows as loot but acts as a normal item... I think it may even have registered as loot when I first picked it up but stayed as an object.
This is a lot of fun (though possibly not for you :) ) - more to follow.
chalice is behind glass...I also found the hidden door, drove me mad trying to get in, there is a hidden alcove opposite, however you can get the contents when closed. After getting the 3 mages to now dissapear it too me house to realise that the same hidden alcove cover could now be frobbed and teh teleporter passage becomes normal...although I can't see what else to do now.
Havent found the galsses, but did find a locked trapdoor behind the cabinet in the room opposite the library (where the note is about the glasses).
I'm pretty much at the same point, but
has the hidden alcove opposite the door with the fire arrows opened for you? I can see the texture in the wall but I can't do anything with it. I guess we're looking for the
3 corners of magick now.
One other secret I've found:
there's a hidden switch beside the fireplace in the entrance hall.

Revisions are going to be much longer than expected due to the nastiness of my T3Ed default install  So I'll be working with my tweaked install (I forgot to update vertexpools in user.ini) so I think it'll work now. I have no idea why my default install won't work.
Things to update on my list:
* I have to update the textures because my tweaked install has John P's texture packs on there & they need to be realigned. Also I wanted to customize textures.
* Since I'm using my tweaked install I could start updating some things I couldn't do with my default install. For example: the chalice objectives. Instead of symbolically frobbing something to complete the ojective, the chalice will now be another object the player can manipulate. Instead of frobbing the water fountain you can throw the chalice into the fountain . . . which is what I intented in the first place.
* I can put some script onto archetypes & incorporate some added extras.
* Fix some scripts. Stupid Sleeper hair doesn't disappear.
* My current map has a completely modified outside area. I'm thinking Ramirez style where you walk all around the outside. I may have to close the windows because the Flesh engine is still (aside from my best efforts) rendering the inside when you can't physically see it.
* And more I haven't thought about yet.
All this because of a screwed up T3Ed install . . .
EDIT: I decided to do just a bug/performace fix but the update will include hi-res textures.
Getting inside
* Front door - the key is next to a streetlight
* Roof - there's a vine you can climb next to the graveyard
* The hole - opposite of the graveyard, it's dark but if you're cautious enough you can see the torchlight & you can ease yourself down without losing health
Once you enter the east halls, the doors will get funky. The doors will walk behind you and you can't get to the Hammer-themed hall. Certain doorways will open a certain door while another closes. You cannot exit the east halls until you find Laremel's mirror.
Laramel's objectives
* Find her mirror - after the inkbottle is frobbed there's a hidden door in the corner. The mirror is in front of the zombie. Once this is done you can leave the east halls
* Find information about the sleeper. Laremel gives a note on where it might be. It turns out it's in a hidden door that conveniently opens in the west halls.
Sleeper objectives
* Find the chalice. It's in a display case.
* Bathe the chalice. It's dirty. The water is outside. Frob the stupid looking growth on the fountain.
* Offer the chalice. Frob the growth on the statue (not the upside-down one) with the dish.
* Read the spell near the sleeper
Find Krellek's Binding Spell & associated objectives
* It's upstairs in the southwest room on a desk. A Laremel note will be floating around telling you a secret door will be opened that'll allow you to go further north! Only if you . . .
* . . .burn a plant. It's downstairs in the southwest. Blow it away with a fire arrow. You left some fire arrows next to the fireplace, BTW.
* Now you extinguish the fires on top of the castle. Yeah, the funny bowls with the blue fire. Those ones. There's a room on the second floor with a ladder.
* Cripes! Find the Three Corners? Go away. Well, after you extinguish the fire you can frob the hidden door in the northwest room (1st floor) near the stairs. Not the 2nd floor library where time slows down.
Once you frob that door then the transporting walls should disappear. Then you walk through the nearest passage. The furthest western hall (also the longest one) has a hidden door on the western-most wall (if you're heading south, it's on your right). It'll highlight when you're close. Behind that door is a switch. Then two hidden doors will open. One right next to the NW stairs & one in the room next to it. Yeah, where one of those invisible assassins walk into.
One door leads to the Mages, one leads to Krellek.
The way to the Mages is through a funky green room with water & some platforms floating around. Beyond that is a maze. Then you get to the Mages. Blow up one of the coils with a fire arrow. Hopefully you didn't use them on the invisible guys.
The way to Krellek is your everyday, same-ol', same-ol', angled rooms (ala Contantine's Mansion). Watch out for the falling . . . oops . . . furniture . . . Now you get to a large room (which oddly looks like the Kurshok dining room) but it's sideways. Get down, Garrett, & boogie woogie. yay. There's a rope you can climb down but it's tricky. What? There's a zombie underneath? You need to go there to find the climbing gloves. Apparently the shops were out of rope arrows. Now climb up. Watch out for the "floor bugs". Nevermind, they don't do anything . . . not this revision anyway.
Then you get to some sideways stairs. Use the climbing gloves or jump carefully onto the lights. Now you're in the main throne room. There's Krellek near the throne. There's a dead guy near a torch. The dead guy's a Keeper. He has a note. Lure Krellek to the generator. The generator is the middle room, bottom floor. Time sloooows down. Only the generator will kill Krellek. Do that. Now place him onto the crypt in the middle of the room. The crypt should open, bounce around (actually shouldn't) and Krellek looks like he's in a rodeo. Now you see stuff flying to the ceiling.
You're done game over. What did you win?

See I think thats where we may be having problems...I couldn't frob that at all, even after putting out the right fires (etc)

Ah found that, didn't realise that the button did that.

I would love to play this, but that would mean re-installing Thief 3 (again) and GarrettLoader (again) which has recently broken (again). The worst part is that the originalbackup.zip is either not complete or it isn't there half the time, still it's its first release, and I'm positive my program will have more bugs, despite being a far simpler program. I'll probably do it when the next version comes out.
potterr on 22/8/2005 at 19:33
Try the restoretodefault.zip in the schism zip file.

For all who have problems with GL or corrupted installs after attempting to play T3 FMs. Possibly for now better to stick with good old 100% safe method of copying the *whole* TDS folder to another place before installing an archive with FM, and after playing or fault just copy it back? It's not so elegant, but at least you won't need to reinstall the game.
