@ultravioletu: I played this mission twice: casual run and casual ghost run. In my 2nd run I decided to do city part as fast as possible and not explore and still got lost few times. As for map - for me it was confusing, I had really hard time figuring out my position on it. So I ended by not using it at all.
Sorry people, this mission isn't to my liking. That's why I asked klatremus to ghost it. I knew he will love it.

@UV: My playthrough order is surprisingly similar to your order of events. Everything you mentioned I'd echo, including the crates used for the 2 zombies. I haven't ghosted it yet, but I always try out ghost methods during my casual test run and map my way through the mission based on what items I need to pick up for Supreme. You'd definitely want to visit the tomb last for Supreme, and return via the sewers. The item you mentioned from Coghill will need to be returned, so that would be a detour heading back. Interesting you mention the possible alert heading out of the tomb. I was wondering if the apparition up above spawns in hunt mode or if I alerted it. I had already killed all the haunts below before it spawning, so I don't see how I could've been that loud. Hopefully DrK or someone else with expertise can chime in on that one.
@marbleman: In this case, not buying the contract sucks a bit for Supreme. The sense of completion is less when you have no reason to take those items. I did not know what you said about enemies appearing as a result of stealing the relics, so that was interesting. For my recordings I think I will buy the contract for the segmented run, just to have that shown in one version.
@Galaer: Just curious, why did you know I would love this mission? I'm asking because it reminds me most of The Haunted Cathedral, and that I don't care for too much. For those of you that don't know, Galaer and I deliberately avoid ghosting the same missions, so that we can remove ones from the unreported list faster. I'm currently focusing on T1 missions.

@klatremus: About liking mission. First is because how great opinions of other people were about this mission. Second - there is really good atmosphere in this mission. Third - you mentioned you like undead missions. Fourth - you like challenge and I believe zombies are more sensitive than normally and there is a lot of them. I had no idea you don't care about Haunted Cathedral. Is it because of ghost bust? Or maybe it's too flat for your tastes? Or if you know where loot is, there is no point of visiting every corner of these ruins?
About contract - no idea what you are talking about, because I played this mission 2 years ago. But maybe this purchase would be excused for items giving extra objectives or extra challenge. Yes, it appears in shop, but I think only to give player's option to do it or not. Normally thief would get this optional request in home. And also in Thief 1 there is no optional objectives. But yeah, that's your choice what to do.
About apparition - I remember that I managed to ghost this mission when it came, so I know I avoided any 2nd and 3rd alerts. So you must have somehow alerted during your test run. Maybe it spawns together with haunts and it heard your extermination. Then again I played it 2 years ago.

^^
If it happened to you too, it must have spawn in hunt mode.
Yes, you're right I forgot about returning the thingie, sure it's a detour. But since I was planning to enter the sewers from the Trystane Alley area, it's not a big one. Also, if I remember correctly, there is an unnecessary lockpick when accessing the sewers from the Market, so I'd come back anyway to the Church area. Actually, probably it's more correct to say "come back to the catacombs" - I would personally delay the completion of the Harren objective as much as possible....
Not being allowed to purchase the contract for Supreme kinda solves a small dilemma (that I pointed out in my unfinished video). One can find two more items than actually required to fulfill the assignment. Should these be skipped as "unnecessary pickups"? Or do such contract artefact count more like "loot" (which is allowed to take more than the objective's requirement, w/o being considered unnecessary)?

@klatremus Ah, I thought you've started catching up the anniversary contests. There are so many missions in there you should love. :D
Also, I just checked, and the haunt doesn't spawn in hunt mode.

The comment was about
ghost, not haunt. I believe it spawns
above tomb later in the mission.
marbleman on 27/12/2020 at 12:17
I mistakenly called him a haunt, but that's exactly who I was referring to.
klatremus on 27/12/2020 at 21:21
@galaer: The haunts spawn from finding the dead guy, while the ghost comes from taking the main objective. I had already killed the haunts long before getting the main objective, so there's no way that could've alerted him. I'll obviously study this more when I ghost it.
@UV: Again funny how similar our notes are. There are 4 entrances to Coghill, 3 from north and 1 from south. The south one would be preferable, but it requires an unnecessary lockpick and thus I avoid it. Can't stand those. Picking locks unnecessarily is as bad to me as forgetting to relock a door. I honestly think it should be in the Supreme rules, but the mode's creators just never thought about it.

Fabulous mission - loved so much of it - however, I'm short 1400 loot(!) and feel like I've been absolutely everywhere. I noticed other folks posting here are short roughly the same amount. Is there another section of the map that is easily missed? Is it possible to enter the eastern areas like Barrow's End, the Mill, and McDermot Pit?
DrK on 11/5/2021 at 16:17
Nope. Most of the loot can be easily found, but some of it is rather well hidden. You probably missed a couple areas on rooftops, the wine cellar, the hidden stashes in the streets, some purse on zombies...
