Played on expert.
Forced myself to finish this one, but didn't particularly enjoy doing so. Just a relief to finish.
I had to use every engine quirk learned over the years to get past some areas, along with constant reloads.
Now the good:
Some really beautiful stuff in the mage's guild.
Some clever puzzles.
I certainly respect the amount of work and thought that went into this.
But just a bit too high on the frustration level for the enjoyment returned.

Enjoyed this mission quite a bit despite the really hard spots. That room with chests and with triggering invisible walls on and off was really clever.
Spiders-in-chest was great. Haven't seen that before. My first instinct was to flle out of the room, and the spiders couldn't follow for some reason. So they were sitting ducks for some broadheads...
There is talk in the thread about teleporting from the fountain area. How do you do that? I have not been able to. I see four tiles. One has a different pattern than the other three (which are plain grey) and that one is the only one that moves down when I step on it.

(and how to get to that second chest in statue room, plus I found the storage room key afterwards.)Thank goodness for hard saves.
Now where the heck did GORT hide the massive 1040 loot I am missing??
Weird thing: I saw the 'Found secret' text three times but final stats say 1/3 secrets found.

Hi there!
I've beaten this mission, and mostly enjoyed it, save for little nuances like the overwhelming crowd in the street area with no fun way to navigate around them (K.O.d every single one person except the unknockable guards) and some patrol placements with cheese tactics being seemingly the only way to deal with the guards (opera)
What I liked are the theme, the overall architecture design, some very clever moments like the mages' guild reveal, the hand puzzle, jumping on carpets. Also loved the visuals, the mage's guild, the dark steampunk corridor near the beginning.
I also had a game-breaking bug, I got the treasure and went to the back exit, but somehow didn't get the learning about how to enter the guild objective, and the mission didn't finish because of that missing objective, and locked me in place. I worked around the issue by quitting the game and pretending I beat the mission. Not that I expect a fix, especially years later, but hey: those are my two cents.

just replayed this amazing fan mission 2595/3665 got no idea where rest of loot is unless its 1/3 secrets the other 2 secrets? things i was not able to do was one chest in statue room,not the one gotten from pressure plate,but one with a door behind it,also one door in warehouse a i was not able to open on bottom level seems like a closet area? 13/16 pick pockets maybe more appeared after i got staff,but i just went to exit mission by then
over all i enjoyed the mission loved the connecting lore in readable from other gort missions,going to play the other anniversary contest mission for t2 now

If any mission needed a video walkthrough, it's this one. I got as far as the lava pool and just could not navigate to the other side. The mission is too strange/difficult/confusing. Too bad, cause it's probably a good FM. I will watch it for sure if somebody ever posts a video. Until then, I'm filing it under "incomplete".
