everytime i taunt som1 and it is succesful i dont get attacked! i press goodbye! to exit the dialogue menu and nothing happens. even after it says the taunt is successful i can continue to bring up topics with the person. som1 pls clear this up for me :) thnx in advance.

Just kidding. It takes three successful taunts to get someone to attack you.

You have to taunt them until they say "That does it." and thenn your only option is to hit the red "Goodbye" that appears.
In general I have found that Taunt fails if they have less than 15-20 towards you... I just grease them back up to 35-40 with a bribe then taunt them again.. usually that does it.
Some NPCs require 5 taunts to get them to attack you.... other NPCs like Ordinators will attack you with only 1 or 2 taunts.

I found more succesful taunts with my weapon drawn.. keep taunting and bribing (if necessary) until they say 'that does it etc.'.. then they will attack in a few mins..
I have also got successul taunts at 0 - tho my speechcraft was then over 40 (higher now)
The best bit is - any money you have spent bribing them u get back after killing them. When i initially did the Camorra Tong quest in the council club i ended up spending nearly 3000 in bribes on this one fella, although when u have taunted one of them to attack they all jump in :D
Dont come out of the speech screen thing until they say that does it.. Hope this helps :)

I keep a ring I call the ring of rage with me for things like this..

Frenzy Humanoid 100 on touch for 6 seconds.
Really it only needs to be maybe 2-3 seconds.. just long enough for them to attack you once. This effect will without fail cause anyone in the game to attack you from any previous disposition.. It has never failed me.

all you have to do is keep taunting them, no matter what, at some point they will get pissed off enough and say "that's it"
most people tell you to pump them back up to about half way and taunt again, but whoever it is will eventually attack you even at 0......and they can get soo pissed that a successful bribe/admire/intimidate will not bring them above 0
it may take a little time (i have sat for 5 minutes doing nothing but taunting as fast as possible to get them to attack me) but it will eventually work and ive always gotten people to attack me
