Hey all!
I have been reading alotta threads here and found answers I was searching for... but ...
Hmm, where to begin..
I have played morrwind for 20 hours I think, and I have found a few deadric weapons: Long sword, war axe, dai katana.
Im a melee red guard with specialization in long blade. So I feel like going with a 1 h weapon and a shield, a little sad couse I really like the dai katana, but Im unfortunately no squid... So I guess I go with deadric Long sword and shield... You have any suggestions?
The purpose of this thread is actually, I want to ask if anyone could give me some advice on enchanting?
I sold my other deadric weapons and Im quite wealthy now, therefore I bought a grand soul gem (twillight something.. ) at the mage guild in baldera...
As far as I can understand, its best to train enchant to 100 and enchant urself, or can this be done somewhere ? (for a price.. )
Also, should I wait till I get a grand soul gem with a Golden saint soul ?
I mean, either you go with cheap items, or you go all the way, then there is no reason buying the twillight gem for 60000 gold...
Hope you understand what Im asking (Im from Denmark, so my english is horrible..)
I will be looking forward for any reply!
Take care for now!

If you have LOTS of money and the ability to kill and capture a golden saint into a grand soul gem then go kill and capture one. Them pay someone to enchant the weapon (100% success rate). Special note, you can only enchant with spells that you already have. Better spells means better enchantments. I have an ebony long sword that I had enchanted with 40 fire damage with I think around 400 charges. It takes awhile before the magic runs out and a long time to recharge. A very good weapon, but I've found even better ones.

That means that you will need really good spells to enchant onto the item?
Where do I buy really nasty spells ?
I have never found a "summon golden saint" spell...
How does the soul trapped in the gem affect the item which is being enchanted ?
If I try to enchant the weapon myself, will I need Enchant 100 to be succesful ?
Thx for your advice so far!

A Golden Saint will let you get Constant Effect enchantment. There are a few other things that will also allow this, but most creatures, including the Winged Twilight soul won't. They are cast on strike or cast on use sort of things.
Even with 100 Enchant, you have a very low chance of Enchanting something yourself. To have any sort of good chance to enchant yourself, you will need to super increase your Intelligence and maybe even luck. And enhancing your Enchant is also a good idea.

Best bet is to enchant with an NPC.
Grand Soul Gem's are best because they will enable greater charge than other gems (and so allow more uses of the enchanted items.) Grand Soul Gems also enable CE (constant effect) items to be made at a fairly hefty cost.
Daedric weapons are ultimately the best to enchant, though the Ebony Staff has the highest enchant points. Enchant points change from weapon to weapon depending on what kind of weapon they are and what they are made of. Like I said, Daedric weapons and armor will, more often than not, hold the most enchantments.
Besides the Ebony Staff, Exquisite Amulets, Exquisite Rings (and also pants and shirt) and the Daedric Towershield all offer very high enchantment points.
Summon Golden Saint can be bought. I will tell you now that the highest summoned creature you are able to have as a
constant effect enchantment on a weapon is a Fire Atronach.
For your other question, no, there isn't really any reason to buy the 60,000 soul gem. Never buy soul gems! You will eventually find Grand Soul Gems inside smuggler caves. Buy the Summon Golden Saint Spell and enchant any amulet or ring with it. Then you can summon a Golden Saint and kill it, then capture it's soul.

Ok guys, thx for your advice sofar..
I have killed an Ascended sleeper (what's it called)
I trapped it! and now... I have to find spells to enchant onto my daedric long sword...
first of all, is golden saint better ? or equel to sleeper ?
which spells would be nice ?
I think something like fortify abilities and maybe add some damage..
what do you suggest for my weapon?
and how many spells effect can I enchant onto ?
I have not come across any good spells yet...
Guess I will have to look harder..
I have decided to use an enchanter to do the job, so I will just have to raise the money for it...
What is the price typically ? Maybe 100k ? 200 ?
Please share your thoughts !
Awaiting further instructions =)

Equal. Both souls will give a charge of 400, and gems containing their souls are worth 80k. They will also give you constant effect enchantments, should you so desire.

I would save the Fortify Attributes for apparel, personally. The thing about weapons is that they don't hold a great deal of enchantment, even Daedric weapons.
Also, if you enchant with more than one effect, the result will be considerably diluted to what you will get if you enchant with just one.
My favourite spell effect for melee weapons is Absorb Health, cos not only will you do a heck of a lot of damage, but you'll transfer quite a bit of it to yourself, thus replenishing your own health, vampire-stylee.
Shock effects are good too, probably better than fire/frost effects, as fewer nasties are able to resist shock than fire or frost. First time I enchanted anything, it was a Daedric Claymore with 5 pts of shock damage, although these days I prefer a Daedric Daikatana with 35 pts of Absorb Health :D

Not that high, usually. Plus, you can get all that cash back right afterwards by selling any unnecessary expensive items in your possession to the enchanter.

Then you can summon a Golden Saint and kill it, then capture it's soul.
This is fine if you're at a suitable level of advancement, but for someone at a lower level, a Golden Saint will pose quite a considerable challenge.
I would agree that purchasing a soul gem from the bosmer in Balmora is a bad idea though, as there is ample opportunity to just nick her entire stash :ebil:

And for what it's worth, a Daedric Tower Shield has the highest enchantment points of any item in the game. Of course, they are very very hard to find (a 1 in 20 chance of one being on a Golden Saint).

Ok... I took your advice, I think life leech sounds very nice (absorb health).
I have found the guy who sells the absorb health spell, bought it, and went back to baldera to gilbera(whats she called?)
I asked to enchant my daedric long sword with the absorb health spell and a ascended sleeper grand soul gem.
set the magnitude from 100 to 100
and area at 50
I selected constant effetct, now the spell says "on self" which I dont understand.
Furthermore, the price was ridiculous... almost 4 billion gold...
So I guess I did something wrong...
But what I want is the effect be CONSTANT and not "on thouch" or "on strike" or whatever.. and not with charges...
Im very new to this... so I presumed I have misunderstood something about this consept ENCHANTING, but... yes I wanna succes!
So plz help me once again, couse Im stuck!
Thx for now;)
