I mean no disrespect to point & click adventure games. TWD is definitely worth the price of admission just for its emotional rollercoaster of a story. On the other hand even the year's latest Call of Duty provides a more captivating gameplay experience than TWD, and having said that, the fact that it managed to win over Dishonored makes it all seem like a very cruel joke.
Calling The Walking Dead a point & click adventure game is a vicious insult to a genre that has produced dozens of compelling and beautifully made games that actually feature quality logic-based gameplay.
It's an interactive movie, at best.

Sorry, I don't have a lot of experience with the genre. You're right. Still my opinion stands that, measured up against the likes of Dishonored, games which feature limited and archaic methods for input (use the mouse to click on stuff) will never be material for a Game of the Year award. In this lies my contention with Thiaf, the lack of freedom given to the player is outlandish given the technology and budget EM has to work with.
