I've run TP on a clean T2 install. I did the same as I did for the previous TP with ND v1.22. But I have no sound in this latest version. I've searched here and tried to compare various files from v1.22 with v1.23 but I'm not knowledgeable enough and whatever I've looked at looks the same. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Edit. I have tried uncommenting all of the sound options in cam_ext with no luck.

Thank you, Ricebug, but that doesn't do anything. I've also tried setting them to the same as the working 1.22 T2 but there's not a squeak from it.

Just a note, the clean install of T2 does have sound until I apply Tafferpatcher. I'd thought to try and update manually which I was going to do soon but I'd also thought that it would be one of the updated files rather than TP itself which was causing this.

Edit. I've done a manual update of the v1.22 version and I now have sound. I think the error was probably due to my durbrainness in not checking that my clean T2 was patched up to 1.18. As I've yet to manage to patch it, I can't check.

1st question: Yes. It's that simple. If you wish to play the original campaign, you can simply press the Skip FM button.

2nd question: No, when you run FMSel for the first time, it will ask where to store FM archive files. Mine is set to "C:\Fan Missions" for instance. Just drag and drop mission archive files into that folder. The folder "FMs" in your Thief II installation is where they are extracted to by FMSel (it will also ask you to create that folder if it doesn't exist), and as far as I understand, FMSel simply changes some of your game-related paths in some cfg files like darkinst.cfg. This is the best way to play fan missions, unlike DarkLoader which extracts fan mission content every time you begin a new mission, and backups the original content. When you want to return to the original state, it extracts the original content back into your Thief folder, removing the files of the currently installed fan mission. It's not healthy for your hard drive, especially when you extract a huge fan mission like T2X over and over again (It's not an important case if you don't think about switching between fan missions or playing the original campaign from time to time, but FMSel installs them once and for all, and you can simply forget about bothering to install them again, so if you feel like playing the campaign or any other FMs during your playthrough you'll be fine).

3rd question: No need for that, I presume. I have never touched that and never experienced any problems.
