Just wanted to drop in and say thanks for whatever you did in the latest version of the patch. I decide to try again with my laptop and installed it. I never had to change the code or anything like before. It runs like a charm and in 1600*900 flawless so far. I have a lot of missions to play and catch up on. thanks again for whatever you did to make it work.:thumb::angel:

You can have bloom effect in Thief now. Is it possible to have two bloom effects? I'd like one strong but small and a large bloom but very fine and transparent.

Hey. I'm using Thief Enhancement Pack 2.0 alpha along with the patches that come with Tafferpatcher. I noticed an improperly scaled (animated) texture on the boilers in mission Kidnap, at Site 5 (Cavador's place, ground floor). Tracked the issue to "patchedres" folder (when renamed, the issue goes away). I didn't dig any further. I believe the texture in question is fam\mech\dalb3.png (the first in a sequence).

quick question - when installing TafferPatcher, did you install the NTEX texture pack as well? because if you want to use EP2, it would be a good idea to skip it.

I did install NTEX. Initially I had no idea how these texture packs worked. I had NTEX and ep.crf installed, later I renamed ep2.crf to ep.crf to get it working. While I probably read the part about modifying cam_mod.ini, I didn't touch it until yesterday. I'm now running both EP2 and NTEX in the following order:
mod_path .\patchedmis+.\patchedres+.\MODS\ep2+.\MODS\NTEX+.\MODS\t2skies+
This seems to work fine (the EP2 is the dominant pack, while NTEX covers the textures not included in EP2). Particularly during the mission Kidnap (Lost City), I noticed a lot of the brick textures were still low res. NTEX replaced those with higher res ones. They're not canon, but they do a decent enough job.

.\patchedmis+.\patchedres should be the last part of the string, not the first one. These are mere fixes to original resources and should be overridden completely by any other mod you install. I'd even recommend moving
patchedres to resname_base string of darkinst.cfg so that any files put in the root folder would override it. Latest versions of Tafferpatcher should do exactly that. The priority of folders listed in config files is following:
uber_mod_path > fm_folder > mod_path > root_folder > darkinst.cfg
Setting the proper mod priority should fix the boiler texture scaling at least.
Also, mod_path string should not end with a "+", this char should be removed. Because the empty space after the last "+" means the root folder and I doubt its priority can be redefined correctly this way.

Thanks for the tip. After changing the order of mods the textures now scale properly.
The banner issue is still there (even when none of the mods are running). Not a big deal, though.

the fixed resources pack fixes that problem, I believe.
