Hi, this is my first time playing thief 2, just after finishing thief gold (good game). I wish I could play this game straight off the bat, but compability issues, resolution and glitches seem to be unavoidable. Just wondering of this patch lets you keep the old textures, models etc. and just fixes the compability issues.
Even though I appreciate the community's effort to keep the games "up to date" with HD texture and model packs, a playthrough with the original textures and models is something I always enjoy, giving an honest impression of the game.
I'm just looking to play this game in higher resolution (4:3,1400/1050), with EAX support, but with the classic models and textures, if this patch does not provide me with this please let me know of one that does.

I believe you can. After all, this community here is all about options. Tafferpatcher should let you pick what mods you want and which ones you don't want.

enhancements are optional. but definitely install the fixed resource pack, the map fixes are definitely worth it.

exactly 1 394 563 and half map errors, bugs and issues, such as misaligned textures, improper object placement, broken links, missing dialogues, flawed automaps, bad sound propagation etc etc etc.

So I have installed the resource pack, but the game freezes for half a second or more from time to time, usually when a new sound is played.
any suggestions?

I just noticed the front gate in the first mission can be climbed over. Just jump and mantle. It actually was quite fun to use that route to get inside, but I don't think it was intended to be an alternative. You can even climb to the roof by mantling onto the gate and making your way along the spiked railing.

Yeah, after all these years of having the game I just found that out myself just recently. I guess in testing nobody ever caught that.

It was fun to do this with all the original missions using newdark's new enhanced manteling. I such a climber.

After installing Tafferpatcher T2 game as T2 1.21 works, but can't play any videos in-game. Why?
