Oh jeeze, I just noticed this thread AFTER I did a clean install of Thief 2 and installed T2X lol. It was weird because I think I remember having my resolution at x32 didn't work too well with my older install which was my resolution at x16 (which I still have installed, so I was doing comparing between the two and my older one definitely looks better) and yeah T2X was just not looking right at all. Even weirder is I've got it at 1680x1050x32 in my new install/patched Thief Gold though and it looks perfect.
But yeah I'll have to mess with this tomorrow morning and see if I just needed to use TP in the first place.

This is an incredible idea but why not include the custom scripts too....then we would have literaly a one step way to get our beloved game up to date upon a fresh install. I always dread having to look up all the scripts and worry about wether or not i have the latest and greatest, everything I need. Or is there such thing already as a one patch that brings the game up to date including scripts?

the latest version already has them, I believe.

Wow. For the heck of it I used the new version of TP to install T2 on my ancient Dell laptop (circa 2005) and T2 runs as smooth as glass! Previous attempts have always been unsuccesfull but on a whim I thought I would try it again. I am so grateful to the authors for making this handy tool. Thanks! Amazing.

Any chance of the 3rd floor in Casing the Joint getting cleaned up (or blocked off entirely)? It's been one of the longest standing embarrassments of Thief 2, so I was surprised after installing this to go upstairs and see the precursor masks still there for the taking.
Mission construction was not modified. How Dark Engine works was, and the effects on missions come from that, but as you may have noticed during installation, there are no *.mis or *.crf files included.

Tafferpatcher does install fixed versions of the mis files (the resource fixes have to be selected).

Tweaks, not major revisions.

I'd be interested to hear more about what Abysmal is talking about - sounds like he believes mission content has changed with the patch. Can you give us some more specific examples?

From the first mission, The toilet in Running interference goes to a tank in the basement, as the builder intended. The gas light particles in one of the west wing bedrooms goes out when the torch is doused. The bellows in the little forge works now. The secret switch to the weapon display case isn't sunk into the wall. All loot can be found. Many others, including room brushes, texture alignment, very minor terrain brush adjustment, etc, etc. All missions have been gone over, and painstakingly fixed, though some fixes remain.
