Yep. Working on it right now. Had to scrap half of the code 'cause it's not needed anymore. Lots of checks, quirks and kludges I was banging my head on can be just commented out and erased. Why am I so happy? :ebil:

@DJ Riff:
I'm looking for links to these fixes available separately:
- Fog Fix in LoTP by Winter Cat
- Dialog Fix in Shipping by Winter Cat
- Dialog Fix in Masks by Nameless Voice
- Fixed loot location in Running Interference and Kidnap
especially this one:
- Dialog Fix in Masks by Nameless Voice
could you help me with that, please?

So then just what would ddfix give you that 1.19 doesn't? 1.19 does both dx6 and dx9 depending on how you configure it (defaulting to dx9, I think).

Do I need to apply the Tafferpatcher to the Good Old Games version of Thief 2, and then apply the patch 1.19, or do I just (re)install Thief 2 (GOG version) and then the patch 1.19?
Thanks for any answers.

 3D vision works with Patch 1.19 and without DDFix !!!
Frame rate is constant 60fps !!!
I was thinking about upgrading my cpu but not now.
DJ Riff, you may remove DDFix from tafferpatcher.
DDfix 1.1.1 (dx6-->dx9) is no longer needed for 3D Vision.

Depends on if you want all the mission fixes and texture updates included in TP installed automatically, or you prefer to install them manually. TP's not needed for the game to run smooth anymore.
IMPORTANT:
If you use any texture updates which requires DDFIX — do
not rename or move RES\ddfix folder. It was allowed to specify any folder for updates in ddfix.ini file, but 1.19 does not read that file and just searches for the textures in the default location.
Next version of TP will have all the mods installed using 1.19's internal DDS support and the new DML feature (see new_dark.zip\doc\modders_notes.txt , dbmod-sample.dml and *.dml files in the demo mission) as soon as I get familiar with it.

Just wanted to drop in and say that I look forward to the new version. Have thief running for the first time in years with the new patch and am mod hunting. Keep up the great work!

Hello... if i start patching on a *already installed* version of t2 (patched to the last official patch or not - no ddfix or other fan mods) do i lose anything (original mission patches for instance)?
Reason is i like to keep thief in a zipped folder because installing it is dog slow (though if your patch reads iso's that might not matter) and because i like to keep keyconfigs 'already set'.
Looking forward to the newdark too.

Doesn't matter. Unpack your pre-installed game, check if paths in darkinst.cfg are correct and point TP to it. Doesn't matter if it's 1.07 or 1.18 too — TP will check file versions and install 1.18 if needed. Thus, don't overwrite your dark.gam or gen.osm with anything unofficial before the first run of TP because it will assume it's not the right 1.18 version and overwrite them back.
Any fan mods installed by TP can be uninstalled by running TP again and unchecking them in the list.

No it doesn't, but you can mount them to Virtual CD or unpack them to a folder on HDD.
