i Using tafferpatcher 1:00
I have a core duo.
and an Ati card.
after a few minutes the game crashes.
I do not know why
especially when I open a door. HELP

Seems like it might be the infamous dual-core crash. Did you install ddfix through tafferpatcher? if so, make sure multicorefix is set to 1 in the ddfix.ini

Don't rely on DDFix too much. If you're on Win7 or Vista, the best way is to create a desktop shortcut for Thief-2 using TafferPatcher, copy/move it anywhere you like if needed and start the game only from there. It contains a console command to start Thief-2 with affinity 1. Running it with administrator rights may also help. On WinXP, it's better to enable the multi-core fix in the TafferPatcher's component list.

YO, just got T2 on GOG, tafferpatched the CRAP out if it, runs beautifully and I don't have to wear corrective lenses to have it look good on a widescreen monitor. Haven't played Thief in like 7 years, REALLY looking forward to it! Thanks guys, you are geniuses!

hey everyone, this is my first post but i have been a thief fan for over a decade now. glad to be part of the community.
now that the introduction is out of the way, i was wondering if anyone had any luck running T2X on a tafferpatcher-installed version of thief? i'm running the game on XP, i tried installing T2X and did the ddfix file copy as outlined (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=96688#11) here, but now when i start the game i just see a black screen and hear the menu sounds (tide, seagulls etc) and afterwards the game crashes and gives this error :

has anyone run into this or have any idea how to fix it? T2 runs fine, btw.
