OK, as promised, a minor update.
0.7.0 changelog:
— DDFix updated to
1.5.5. The latest 1.5.7 version with its built-in widescreen support will require lots of code change, so I leave it for later major update.
— Multi-core fix algorithm changed to the one which (
http://ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=127533) FlipTIB uses. If you use DDFix, it's redundant, so it's off in the default preset.
— Interface change: The main component list now displays all previously installed components. No more focus-stealing list form. Just check to install, uncheck to uninstall. Bells, whistles and a big
red button "Return to previous setup".
This version of Tafferpatcher is backward-compatible with the old one.
To update the ddfix installed by old version of TP:
Select the Thief2 folder. On components list, uncheck DDFix, click "Next". You'll be prompted if you want to uninstall ddfix, click "Yes". Click "Back", check the DDFix on again, then proceed with installation to the end.

I don't know what you did but Thief 2 now works with 1920 x 1080 res :cheeky:
I wish you could make it support triple wide resolution too though!

I use that resolution with the older version and it works fine.

Here is the problem that I am experiencing:
every time I run ddfix and widescreen the game works, but as soon as I quit the game, then re - enter it freezes my entire PC,
so I have to uninstall widescreen and ddfix, then run the bare game, then install ddfix, run the game, then install widescreen, run the game,
then enable EAX in order to play!
Obvoiusly having to do that every time is very annoying.

Can I suggest putting a version number on any subsequent releases? I'm not even sure which version I'm hosting at Southquarter at the moment.

Well done DJ Riff!
I've just gone from a 17 inch monitor to a 24 inch HD monitor and needed a clean install of T2.
TafferPatcher made the task completely painless.
