Tafferpatcher is not working on wine if i select ddfix or multicore fix (didn't try widescreen also)...
The multicore fix doesn't do anything to affinity, and ddfix plain crashes the game.
If i manually install ddfix after tafferpacher applies the rest (it replaces the exe due to the thief 2 1.18 patch) it works.
The version i'm using that works is ddfix 1.5.5-complete, and used dotnet 2.0 (not 2.0sp2) to use the ddfix gui.
I would suggest it's time to update the ddfix, and use the multicorefix incoportated in ddfix regardless (make it not a option).

btw imagecfg doesn't work on wine either, but the new ddfix multicore fix does.

The problem is that I'm migrating to the new version of the compiler now which got screwed up most of string functions in the code. OK, I'll try to reinstall an old one and make a minor update of sort...

I just used Tafferpatcher to move T2 from my dying legacy game PC to my newer one, which has just about everything that could cause problems hardware-wise. After an hour of play there are no problems whatsoever. :thumb:

Hello everyone, I had no problems installing tafferpatcher fully on my laptop, however, when I did a full install on my Vista desktop, it shows the game in the resolution i set, however it's not in fullscreen, it's in the top left corner of my monitor and everything else out of game view is black, with artifact-like things from my desktop popping in and making things very slow. Any ideas?

Sounds like the widescreen patch applied only partially.

Has anyone had any problems just downloading the patch? I tried to do just that and it took quite a while, but then at about 99% the download timed out and refused to complete. :grr:

Now. . how does one activate it? I downloaded it to my thief2 folder, but I can't seem to find it in there.
EDIT: Nope, nevermind. Found it and installed it and everything's working fine so far.
