So... where is your FM Archive path?
DromEd_Newbie on 13/2/2016 at 13:22
The path is C:\Games\Thief2
Also, I have removed all AntiVirus software before a clean T2 install, just in case.
It's strange that Darkloader is working fine. Just played the new Keeper of Infinity 2 without crashes. Can run OMs fine using the Thief2 (without -fm) shortcut.

If the OMs work fine, it's almost certainly an issue with how you have FMSel configured.
What I meant by 'FM archive path' was the location you place your .zip files for each mission before FMSel extracts them to the FMs directory. Where did you choose to store them?

Sorry, I misread the question.
C:\Games\FMs\T2

Try moving it to a new folder in your Thief directory (not the FMs one). So C:\Games\Thief2\FMArchive or something. You can do this with the gear icon>FM Archive Path... in FMSel.

His path to the fm folder is as good as any other path that doesn't point to a protected folder.

I have tried changing my FM path to the current T2 folder - C:\Games\Thief2\FMTest
I put 2 FMs in the folder and configured FMSel to use the new directory. The result was the same.
For the heck of it, I started up in Safe Mode, just to see. Same thing, Thief OMs and Darkloader run fine but FMSel crashes when I select an FM and click play.
Still no crash.dmp in the Thief2 folder either.

You mean you changed the FM archive/.zip path (not the FM Path, which is different)? And it didn't work? Well, damn, I'm out of suggestions too.

Never had problems with FMSel and Thief and this is how it looks in my computer:
E: (my data partition)
FMThief2 (both the game and missions are here)
FMs (this is the folder with the missions, it is inside FMThief2 obviously)
cam_mod file:
; FM selection can also be done with command-line options (which override mod.ini)
; -fm : to start the FM Selector
; -fm=name : to start game with 'name' as active FM
; always start the FM Selector (if one is present)
fm
; start game with FM (the name is the FM's directory name, located in the FM path)
;fm TheDarkMansion
; to specify a path other than the default "FMs" (the specified path must exist or
; it won't be accepted and the game falls back to the default path)
;fm_path .\FMs
; a single relative path name to override the FM movie directory
; default is "Movies" for Thief and "cutscenes" for Shock
;fm_movie_dir Movies
; define the library name of an alternative FM Selector, the default is "fmsel.dll"
;fm_selector fmsel.dll
Another thing I do is unzip the fan mission and extract its contents into a folder that I previously named with the name of the mission or something similar. Then I put that folder with the unzipped mission in FMs folder. Never had a problem so far...

I will try manually unzipping, I have never tried that before.
I have had zero issues with FMSel on my other computer running windows7. This is Windows 10. Rather than going back to Windows 7 on this computer, I was hoping to get it running for all of the people who have been nagged into upgrading to Windows 10. I am sure some people have gotten Windows 10 to run FMSel though.
