I did, yes. 4 different folders actually.
c:\Thief2
c:\games\Thief2
c:\games\Thief2-CleanInstall
c:\Thief2\New

well, I'm out of ideas. try randomly bashing into things, like running windowed, compatibility modes, maybe something will work.

What's your FM archive path? I found I had issues getting missions to start if I placed the archive folder inside the FMs folder or vice-versa.

that is actually not allowed, afaik.

Hmm... my hunch is that at least one of those mistakes is possible. I think FMSel may warn you, but not actually prevent it. This is going from my memories and what one or two other people have said in the past. Either way it's worth checking.

Try editing your cam_mod.ini and comment ";fm"
Make a shortcut to the thief2.exe on your desktop and start FMSel with that command
c:\games*\Thief2.exe -fm
*your path
post the Thief2.log again.

I did the above and it's the same:
Code:
: PID: 8116
: CPU: arch=x86-64 , fam=586 , cpus=4
: SIMD: SSE=3 , 3DNow=0 , MMX=1
: OS Version: 6.2.9200
: Desktop resolution: 1600 x 900
: Virtual desktop resolution: 1600 x 900
: -----------------------------------------------------------

You're using Win 10, but the thief log shows Win 8 (OS Version: 6.2.9200). Thief doesn't recognize your OS correctly.
I wonder if anyone else has problems like that on Win 10.

This crashing reminds me of the problems I had to get Gloria creep's thief working again.
It was actualy her virus scanner (bullguard) that was convinced that thief.exe was a virus.
