After downloading some fan missions for Thief 2, I noticed that the core campaign of Thief 2 is starting to suffer. The mouse flickers, the textures have become lower resolution, the frame rate is slower, and the models for items (flash bombs, potions) have become ugly. It's making the game difficult to play, yet I'm not seeing the same problem with the fan missions.
Is there a solution that doesn't involve deleting the fan missions? Redownloading the patch doesn't seem to have stopped the problem.
This is with the steam version of Thief II.

make a clean reinstall, make sure to use the latest beta of TafferPatcher.

I looked into my Steam folder, since I thought I'd done a clean deletion of Thief before, but the old save files were still there. After deleting them, I redownloaded, and reinstalled Tafferpatcher. Worked like a charm, thanks!
