(NV, just a heads up...your file has the axel pointing backwards!)
...
The gun has been all sealed up now though as fast as the slide moves you can't even tell the difference. Hell, I couldn't even get a proper screenshot of it. If you can figure out what's wrong with the breach, do let me know.
No, you missed the part about the original pistol model being bugged -- well, either that or ShockEd's handle of sliding gun parts.
The joint
has to be backwards, otherwise it will just snap in and out of place, as you reported. The gamesys has to set up the joint to move in the appropriate direction of the reversed axle, because if the axle is the same way around as it was in the original model, you'll just get that instant-snap effect.

Looks pretty sweet to me. :thumb: I especially like that you added iron sights.
The only thing is in the first-person comparison shots you have in the link, the new hand looks kind of fat and unnatural compared to the old one. Would it be possible to fix that at all?

The simple view of picture make me to want it! I'll to download and enjoy it!

I'm not going to dispute this as I'm hardly qualified to do so, but the instant-snapping is actually working okay. The animation matches that of a real pistol. I'm not sure how exactly blaydes' gamesys does things but it works properly for the original pistol at least but initially it was moving the slide in reverse for my replacement.
@ZymeAddict
The hand is actually proportioned right but due to a combination of bad angle and really steep camera focus, it's displayed oddly.

The wrist shouldn't be aligned with the pistol, rather offset a bit to the right. However this does make the hand look a bit fat the way it's presented. I can tweak it and release it later.

Can you at least give me a version of the model with the slide the right way around, so I can get TF to implement it in his SecMod?

I sent it to your email.

Thanks!
Also nice work, I think we might have a viable ss2 weapons upgrade pack in the works here. :O

We'll see, perhaps I will be stricken with a sudden case of SS2modquititus :D
BTW, tried out your mod for the first time today. It ROCKS :thumb: Can't believe I was missing out.

If I were to critique one thing, it would be pixel density inconsistency in the texture, but otherwise it's overall very nice!
good work!
