I was under the impression that the gamesys would have to be rooted around in to get that slide functional and since everyone is using gamesys mods already, I didn't want to make things incompatible all for the sake of some eye candy.
Were the gamesys issue solved though, the slide could be made functional in all of 20-30 tris and about that many minutes of work.

There's no reason I couldn't implement the working slide in ADaOB - it would take about 30 seconds, though it would need the inclusion of the fixed pistol model.

Does the dark engine cull backfaces? If so this is going to take a little bit longer. And a lot more tris. Also explain that axle crap to me again, I've got a mind like a sieve.
Also this means that we need blaydes' ejecting casing mod integrated too :)

Might want to make it so we can't see the insides of the gun right in front of the barrel in that pick. And by the way, is it just me or does the breech look a little odd? I can't put my finger on it, but something seems off...

The file has been updated to v1.1 (alreadylol)
It now supports a moving slide thanks to file and information supplied by who else other than NV.
You must use a mod that supports the animated slide like blaydes99's casing mod (I didn't even know it did, found out purely by accident). However, let me tell you the effect is incredibly subtle and not really worth the three hours of frustration that preceded this release (NV, just a heads up...your file has the axel pointing backwards!)
Also this update provides a much higher-poly hand so it looks considerably better when lit. Downside is the strain on your system is significantly higher but if your PC isn't a relic, it should be negligible.

The gun has been all sealed up now though as fast as the slide moves you can't even tell the difference. Hell, I couldn't even get a proper screenshot of it. If you can figure out what's wrong with the breach, do let me know. The only thing that occurs to me is that it's a bit too long, but this gun was carefully constructed according to Tri-Op specifications so blame them! :p

This gun took me a week of dawdling, distracted work, most of which was spent researching technical issues and relearning how to model. As the mesh for the AR is already 2/3 done, it should be ready for download next week :)

The back of the slide had to be mostly welded together to stop the errors but at least it works now!
