Vaporware is stuff that's announced, usually hyped to the sky and back, and then never materialises. Like Starcraft: Ghost or (hopefully not) Call of Cthulhu: Destiny's End.

I'm not even sure Deep Cover falls under vaporware, because it was never really started or hyped.

A forum that has reached a critical mass draws new members by a force akin to gravity. There must be something about it if there are so many people already, right? There are other factors determining if the newbies stay though.
