Tony Blair:
Whose Government ruined the Country
Whose Government completely ruined the NHS and insult the Nurses and Doctors with their pay!
Including the other forces like the Police!.
Whose Government do not have a clue how many people are living in Britain who are illegal and should not be here, and others who are taking money from others who should get it!!.
Gordon Brown is no better in fact will be worse in by book...

Hey, I have a cousin in Georgia who is so ignorant of politics that she not only did she not know of the War in Lebanon (as she visited us last summer when it was going on) she didn't know of the EXISTENCE of Lebanon, or North Korea, or Iran.
What are they teaching kids at university these days?

If he gets Gordon to give us a big devolution dividend before he goes, I'll call him whatever he likes.
I've got mixed feelings about old Tone. I recall being quite excited to see what he'd come up with at the start, becoming gradually more disappointed as things went on and then a bit shocked that he walked into the Iraq difficulties with, it seemed, open eyes.

Well, under Tony's reign
-The Economy has done pretty well
-House prices have gone crazy
-tax burden on the middle classes has risen
-there's a perception that public services aren't doing well enough, schools are failing, still lots of crime, despite the enormous amounts of cash thrown at such things.
-Iraq, oh dear
How much of the first four is directly attributable to him, I dunno. Obviously Gordon has played a major part in the economic stuff.
I wonder how the picture today would be different if Tony and New Labour had never happened, and 1997 had been crumbling useless Tories vs old-skool lefty Labour?

The economic prosperity that Blair and Brown take so much credit for doesn't have a huge amount to do with them. The China effect and the advent of inflation targeting were all far more important. Independence for the Bank of England was a step forward - but then, increases in tax and regulation were definite steps backward.
Iraq has been such a colossal disaster that any achievements Blair may have made seem trivial by comparison.
