The wiki powers-that-be can be incredibly snooty about things done according to their system, and they have a very long list of just what you can and can't put on a page. Another one of those things where they just have their way & you either roll with it or they lock you out. Some pages are have more leeway than others though.

What Dema said. EM isn't trolling the Wiki page, the editors are. If it doesn't meet their excruciatingly exacting standards of what they believe belongs on a wikipedia page, it's gone.
A link to a currently running petition would be one of those things, as it's not an informative reference to the man or his career.

Thanks. I didn't realize just how restrictive they are. If not, I guess they'd end up with a large pile of twaddle that no one would bother to read.

Those Wikipedia editors. I've never ran into one myself, but I've heard stories. Bad stories Of people disappearing. Kidnappings. Entire wars fought because someone ended a sentence in a preposition. Stuff like that. I dunno if it's all true or not, but...well...
