If by Hammer you mean WorldCraft for Half-life, I used to have that problem.
Then I stopped working on HL-engine stuff, cause the unreal was better. Haven't done so much with source/Hammer (dot, I don't know the version numbers), but once I got my head around this I prefered it. Shame T3ed is so ick, like on materials and staticmeshes, and Flesh so ick on framerate, but I'm still using this.
Switching between the two sets of camera controls and stuff is messy though, so I'd recommend only working on one engine at a time here, cause it's quicker than having to unlearn/relearn everything every couple of days, and it gets frustrating when auto-habit doesn't do what you want it to (forward dammit!, not up!).

I'll be in Alaska with no access to T3Ed July, 8th through 23rd so if any problems arise I can't do anything about it! I've have no problems with T3Ed.exe since the last revision. Crispy, can't wait to see what you've done (if anything's ready by then).
As far as Krellek's Labyrinth goes it's gotten way out of hand :ebil: It's a lot bigger than I originally planned because I think it's writing itself. There's a lot to do objective-wise. I think the hardest thing about designing a level for Thief is the lighting. You need places to hide but you don't want things too dark (I wish there was a lightgem preview). Any tips?

I'm also running the modified T3ed.exe
I wonder how stable it will remain as more mods are added?

Resource editing shouldn't affect stability, unless the resource editor is buggy.
My program could potentially crash the editor, because it injects itself into the editor's process. So if it crashes, it brings the editor down with it. Thankfully, the solution to this is obvious: Make sure my program doesn't crash. :cheeky:
There may be some stability problems at first, but I'm sure I can iron those out if they arise.
(I keep calling it "my program" because I can't decide on a decent name for it. Extra Stuff For T3Ed? Crispy's T3Ed Lua-Modification DLL Injecting Program? Hey Guys You Can Use This To Do Funky Stuff With The T3Ed Interface But For Garrett's Sake Don't Crash Anything? :joke: )

ascottk,
I'm not sure if it's just my mind playing tricks on me...but did you tweak something to get the static mesh browser loading faster? I don't remember it opening up this fast...it's almost instantaneous. Maybe I was thinking of the schema browser though.

Crispy: How about T3ed Control? It's descriptive, and it's a play on the term Dead-man's Control, which reacts in sort of the same way to big mistakes:
Quote Posted by Wikipedia
A dead-man's control (Also: controller, switch, pedal, or handle) is a mechanical, electro-mechanical or electronic device designed to stop a railroad train in the event the train operator acts (or fails to act) in such a way as to indicate that he or she may be incapacitated and therefore incapable of operating the train safely.
Replace "train" with "editor".

Sure has been quiet in the T3Ed forum lately. Is everyone on vacation. :)

Odd place for that question NH.
But I'm waiting for someone else to give me something to play (and working on non-thiefly things for some friends, so, you know... <shrugs>)

I've got a final on Monday and I've been taking care of other school-related stuff. I've got a few ideas for pictures I intend to paint, so that's cutting into my editing time a bit too.

Damn this real life! Why must it meddle so?
