I have yet to look at putting the static mesh window in the actor class browser; but my program is coming along nicely, so I should be free to take a look at it in a few days. Rest assured I'll get to it eventually. :thumb:

Oooh, I just thought of one that should be do-able and would probably be welcomed by users: Change the text on the 'Okay' button on the script editor window to be 'Compile and Close' or perhaps just 'Compile'. The 'Cancel' button could probably stay as is, I guess? And if there is a way to remove the minimize/maximize/close control box altogether, that would be welcome as well. How many times have you hit the 'X' to innocently close it, and then had to sit through a 5 minute compile? :o

Yep, and I've already done changed the button titles. Just give me a few more days to finish the rest of it and I'll upload a beta version... or alpha... or something.
I've changed them to "Save all" and "Close", but that's extremely easy to change. "Compile all" and "Close" perhaps? Any suggestions on this front are more than welcome.
The close button most probably can be removed (or at least greyed out). I'll put that on my list. It might even be possible to override its function so that it doesn't do any compiling and just closes the window... but we'll see.

Nice! :)
Crispy, ascottk, are you guys collaborating, working on the same one, or is this two separate projects?
ascottk on 4/7/2005 at 16:39
Crispy & I are using two different methods I think but hopefully we're on the same page ;) Crispy isn't modifying the exe while I am tweaking the rc script which modifies the interface in the exe.

I've been using the modded Static mesh browser. Good stuff guys :thumb:

Yeah, we're working on completely separate projects, and using very different methods. ascottk is modifying the .exe itself, while I'm messing with the program at runtime.
Both approaches have pros and cons, but luckily they're compatible with each other, so we're not conflicting or anything. You'll be able to use ascottk's modified .exe with my program just fine, and in fact I recommend it. :thumb:
(Well, I once I finish the darn thing, anyway... :))

If anyone has any problems with the modified T3Ed.exe (especially with a corrupt ScriptOrganizer.tso) then let me know! I've been modifying the modified *exe when I should've modified the original *exe. Kind of like making copies of a copy.
In fact I'll get rid of the link for the 2nd version as soon as I can then I'll replace that link with an update IF I have no more problems.

I think the T3ed is great, it has large XYZ3D views and the buttons are all neatly organized on the sides.
However I'm using a LCD screen, which is 17X17 unlike most 17" monitors which are only 17" accross, and I am also running it at 1280x1024. However, I would like the button set up to be more like that of hammer, instead of having several button combos to memorize. :(
