After 3 Defrags and 1 Reformat of HD, I give up. Would liked to have played around with this editor because its a beautiful game.

Can you at least tell us what you tried? And why did you reformat your HD? I like to do that occasionally, but for one game/editor?
Did you try everything found in the "official" Editor Install thread on this same page? (

More info == more help! :)

The beginning of my tutorial also walks you through with painstaking detail how to set everything up.

I had to reformat because when I ran the Thief3 Launcher it corrupted every .exe file on the HD including Thief3. I had to reinstall 6 complete games.
Luckily, I didn't lose my savegame files or my mods.

Are you sure you changed both paths before you tried running the editor and then the game itself?

Where's dracflamloc? Maybe the Thief3Launcher does have the potential to screw up things if it's not set up properly. I don't want to test that theory myself, but maybe he should look into it.

I haven't had any problems with it. Everything works just fine, but of course it's sensible to make sure.

I haven't had any problems with it either, but mine is set up properly (and presumably yours is too).

Apologies to all. I had the Editor path set to run T3Main instead of T3. Although, I don't see why that would affect other programs on the drive. Maybe something was wrong on that drive and the reformat cleared it up. Anyway, it all works fine now. All I have to do now is learn how to use it. Thanks to everybody for all your help and I will try not to do too many stupid things in the future.
