bah, well at least I enjoy the game. i guess i'll have to bide my time with unrealed, or maybe quake 4 sdk til unreal 3 engine comes.

Yeah, their whole system is SERIOUSLY flawed if it doesn't work just as well as normal version. They should at least advertise that it won't work with the editor. You should threaten to sue them, make them give your money back, then go pick up a real copy off eBay or at the local shop
