The top one looks excellent - very Doom 3 like and a much better demonstration of what the engine is capable of.
In the bottom one I think the gaps between the bricks are slightly too large (very easy to do; I'm sure that at least fifty percent of the block textures I have made have ended up with excessive 'mortar').

Yeah, luckily I had two version of the bump map. One where I didn't fade the edges of the bricks & the one used for the last screenshots. It was kind of stupid on my part to fade the edges because they do not mesh with the original texture. I fixed it & I'm totally surprised by the results.
Sorry if I seem a bit cranky but it's finals week & I haven't slept well over the weekend. Also I had three concerts in a row (two choir concerts & one student composer concert) since Friday.

Sorry if I offended you; it was a serious question. I'd assumed one thing and then realised that my assumption wasn't necessarily correct and decided to ask for clarification...
Anyway, I would be more constructive except that I don't know what I'm looking at. So I can't really comment aside from "looks good" or "doesn't look good", which you said you didn't want. Maybe I'll just shut up now. :D

Don't worry about it. I'm tired & grumpy

I prefer the top image, the bottom image looks like there is too much mortar and also the bups look less pronounced. Sorry if my previous comment seemed infantile in any way, I'm not a true texture artist, I've done a bit but I'm no master.
And orbweaver: It's possible to make tileable brick tetures from photosource, as well as normals, but it can often be a lot harder; depending on the source.

I agree, the top image nails it, pretty much :thumb: but not so keen on the bottom image. I think what looks strange is that the mortar is exactly the same colour as the stone. (In fact in many ways it looks as though there was a solid brown colour in the diffuse slot or something??). Also the spec on the pedestal is too much.

I'm pretty sure the bottom image has diffuse disabled, hence the strange lack of colour.

Wonderful work man.

Lookin' cute.
A couple of arty points though:
The coffin looks posh. Which would be great for a wealthy noble, but for a common or garden serf..?
And some textures look very new where before they looked old and distressed. The carved wooden door and the obelisk thingy for example. I might have a go at bashing them up a bit if I get a spare half hour or two.
One advantage of the old rubbish textures was that they left lots to the imagination.
