hope vincent.sometimes keys held by watchers are not that noticable and fall to the ground where they crumple,are you shure that you have not moved any bodies and left the key there?

alsoI think that one of the watchers in the council room has a key?

alsothe room directly outside of the council room(with the open fireplace and luminous holywater font,has a secret room within it.I dont know if that is THE secret room I dont think so....did you get there.Check the bookcase in that room

also as cattamer saysthere is a secret room along the right lower wall of the council room up near the front before the last candle...there is a small blue button that lifts a section of stone wall

Hopevincent....when you say you have been to all the rooms in the chambers corridoor and up through the ceiling in the end room.....well there are two rooms with trapdoors...they are the far end right and far end left,have you been up both of em?,from your post I dont think you have been up both rooms

I just found the secret room to the right side of the Council Room When I got there, a dark guy was standing in front of the door. So, I had to play hell to get him away from there and get back down there. There seems to be a few secret rooms in this fm. Be glad when I find the right one. I have been to all the other places you mentioned in above post.

Now, Is the real secret room up thru the hole in the ceiling of the last room on the right? If so, where. There's a hall behind an unfrobbable iron door with a crate way in the back. How do I get in there. I think I got all the keys. I think I have 4.

Hope....Yes if you re read back thru the posts the glass door with the crate way back hides another grille over a passage you do actually come out of the door you can see on the left before the crate,but you need to find another way....go back up through the other trapdoor again and re-search where you have been.

ok...I have been back into game and what I have told you above is correct.the trapdoor that brings you out to the crate you can see ,is in the chambers corridoor....the trapdoor you need is in the ceiling of the far right door(Not the far left one)...also,I think you have missed part of a passage from the scribes area.....push the button at the end of the scribes corridoor when it moves to the side there is another bookcase on your right with the return switch.Above that switch is the trapdoor and passage....down the first grille is the scribes room yeah..with me so far?...if you leave that grille closed and crawl over it,it brings you out to the right hand balcony...now go and do those things

Jonescrusher,

I've done everything in above posts. I just finished getting on the right balcony OVER the grill, found the gas arrow. Is there some way of getting off of the balcony other than climbing or jumping???. I had already visited the right balcony via jumping from the center balcony. Other than the gas arrow, I didn't find anything new this time. Now what???

No the room you want isthe last room on the chambers corridoor...nearest the scribes corridoor

HopeVincent.no there is nothing else to do at the balcony if you got there already,just wanted to show you the proper way to get there and get gas arrow..you have to use the gloves and jump at the wall and climb down from there.

if you have done all I said then have you seenthe brazier that is in a room with a burning hammer in it yet and a picture above it with the face from the game title screen?...if not you havent been up the trapdoor in the ceiling on the far RIGHT of the chambers corridoor yet

Thanxs Jonescrusher for all your help... I just lost my complete Thief Deadly Shadows file and got some kind of runtime error. Can you or someone direct me to help for this???

Secret doors are very very well hidden in this one. :(
I need to find Martins Chronicles and the address of the witch.
When you look into the council room from the door I have been up on the left side balconys and through the grate.
On the right side I found a secret door that I needed a ring for.
I can see a grate up above the right side balcony but I have no idea how to get up there. I have found no way onto those balcony so far.
Across the hall I found a secret room with some loot but thats it.
Down the hall there is an unfrobbable door with a guard and a locked one that I still need a key for apparently. Where is the key or what other method do I use to get to that section ?
