I tried to use those crates at St. Mark's Abbey, but I just wasted about 30 minutes on fighting with wonky physics and looking for places to mantle. Crate-stacking and platformer-style jumping aren't TDS strong points. You should have given the players more proper tools to progress further, and at least provide some subtle visual indication on where to start. Also, those last few turns and the St Marks area suffer from framerate drops, which makes precise jumping even harder.

Hmmmm... did you take out the guy with a fire-arrow?
The key is not on the guy, but sitting on a small ledge which is part of the enclosure of the turning wheel.
At least that is the place on Expert. Not sure if it might be located somewhere else on other difficulties.
Check your PM to find a screenshot.

Thanks, Savar for this new mission! I love Thief-3!

However I'm stuck near the thief's house. Since half an hour I'm handling with those damned crates. I find it extremely difficult to stack them, they always fall apart. :mad:
Is there another, easier way to go up? I really would like to proceed in this mission.

Thanks for the pointer (I wasn't expecting a video :cheeky: ).

The first time I played, I went to the water pump room, made my way over to the guy and defeated him, and then climbed around the area without finding the key, proceeded to find the stamped gear, and then exited. Later, once I learned there was a key I was supposed to get, I returned to the area where the guy was - no key.

After viewing your video, I reloaded at the point where I first entered the water pump room, and made my way back to the area where the guy was - and sure enough, the key was exactly where it was supposed to be. I therefore conclude (but haven't proved) climbing around the key can cause the key to move to an unreachable area. So, if you can't find this key, reload at the point where you first enter the water pump room, and replicate the moves in the video.

(And further, this proves key locations are not different based on difficulty.)

On to the rest of the game - I must replay some stuff - but now that I know how to get into the Armory, I can go there first and replay in a slightly more, shall we say, aggressive style. :ebil: "On to the Vault!"

Everything, that you have mentioned, is in the lowest part of the Cathedral's basement. The morgue room is rather large and its decoration is individual, so you will recognize it from the first sight.
