I don't remember a health potion in the mission either. As for that final guy, yes he's tough, but not as tough as the guy in 1.0 version. You can always cheat by turning down your difficulty setting in your SU tweaks ( turning down to 0 makes you invisible)

Ooh Ok, didn't know that! Well, I found the key for the armory, that helped me, found 2 healing potions, broadheads and a mine. I could kill him with the mine and at last one broadhead from distance and in the shadow!

Guys - I'm stuck at the beginning...how/where do I get up to where the thief is?
fortuni on 27/8/2016 at 09:34
zogmeister....in the alley by leading to the Abbey, use the crates in the corner to mantle up to the canopy by the tavern and use the ledge to get to both the guards watch room and the Thief's hideaway.

Thanks Fortuni ! I didn't think I'd be able to mantle up there, but just goes to show you...

I'm at the very tail end - in the library and cant seem to get past the flying green blob whilst in pursuit of the "incantation"...how do I best complete this part? What's the best way to kill or fool the green blob?

I also had the same bad luck with the lava...LOL. Clunky Thief-DS mechanics to blame.
I have to call it quits for this fanmission. Stuck in the pump room, keep falling into the lava with no alternative means to get out unless one jumps. Thief-DS is too clunky for me to make precise long distance jumps. This game is not fun anymore. Don't like the lack of weapons, health potions or even a map, the numerous collapsing floors into the lava is certainly not amusing.

Instead of quitting the mission you could (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=138607) tweak it just enough to get past the difficult spots: lower difficulty, lower gravity, higher speed...

This is my favorite Savar fan mission so far and one of the best for T3 I have played. I completed v1.0 first and will continue with v3.0.
Stats:
* Expert difficulty
* 130 minutes
* 90% loot
* 3 hints needed
Elements I liked:
* Excellent architecture and lighting throughout. I am impressed.
* Varied and well placed ambient music and sounds.
* Garrett quips from the original game used at fitting new locations.
* Getting the drop on Siman was a satisfying start to the mission because he had a backstory and was not just random thug.
* The custom skins of the undead Hammerites look good.
* Some of the loot is in challenging locations, like when you have to jump onto a chandelier and from there to a Gargoyle statue.
* Hammerite scrolls in the abbey are few but great: short and consistent with the tone of Hammerite scrolls from The Dark Project and Deadly Shadows.
* The undead Hammerite carrying a lantern with green light was a nice touch. I like how you can watch him from the ground floor patrolling the floor above.
* A confrontation with a group of four enemies on the second floor went absolutely perfectly during my playthrough: I managed to lure the priest and the acolyte guarding the scribe room into a fight with the invisible monster and the undead carrying the lantern. Only the priest survived. After he went back to his desk, I simply stole his wand. So in the end, I did not have to kill anyone and I did not have to use any special items.
Could be improved:
* "Night of Trickster" sounds odd. "Night of the Trickster" would be a better mission title I think.
* There are frequent small typos in the mission's texts. Nothing too bad, but noticeable.
* All keys you find in the mission are unlabeled.
* Northeast of the starting location, an invisible wall is blocking access to a house. The closed double doors would have sufficed.
* You can mantle up the roof above the window where you find Siman and get out of bounds.
* The mine trap in the abbey's toilet is unfair because you can't see it.
* The journal about the "guests from the future", the undead in Nazi uniforms, the victrola playing a Nazi voice, the swastika banners, and the Hitler portrait do not fit into Thief. This feels more like a Return to Castle Wolfenstein map. I don't like it, despite the effort that went into creating these new assets for the mission.
* The stairs to the top floor of the abbey were guarded by one of the invisible, super fast monsters. There was no room to sneak by it. Being forced to fight it was not my preferred solution.
* The lava room is frustrating. Getting the key was not too bad, but retrieving the stamped gear (special loot) was near impossible. I could only take minor damage because I had already lost health earlier and barely survived the room.
* Stepping into the area south of the Trytos Crystal instantly killed me. This area was right where a mine had been that I detonated earlier. Maybe the instant deaths have something to do with that.
* You can softlock the game if you accidentally send the elevator up from the crypt without standing on it and don't have an earlier savegame. There is no button to call the elevator back down.
* Like in earlier Savar missions, there is unfrobabble equipment. There are rooms where you can, for example, pick up only two flashbombs out of three. This always make me think: "Why is Garrett intentionally making this harder for himself by not grabbing whatever equipment he can? Why is he, a Thief, not stealing this equipment in a situation in which he absolutely needs it?"
* Some of the loot is missing loot glint and has a very low frob distance, for example the "scarlet tapestry" in Wolfram Siever's room.
* If you exit the abbey through the green mist, after the teleport you should continue to face north, but the mission makes you face east. This is confusing because you suddenly changed direction by 90°.
* I could not get the valuable book on an upper shelf in the scribe room. The frob distance is too low for me to grab it at the top of a jump and despite many attempts, I was not able to knock it off the shelf with an arrow.
Hints needed:
* Missed the top floor of the abbey, accessible via the central stairwell, and therefore missed did crypt key as well.
* Missed the key ring that opens the weapons cache near the crypt entrance. It is hard to get even if you know where to look.
* Found only 80% loot. Used the walkthrough to find enough to achieve the 90% loot goal.
