Have T3Ed and don't know what to do?
Here's some ideas for fan missions:
"Muppet Thievery":
Kermit as Garrett (imagine a frog in black with a cowl . . . )
Fozzie as Benny
Miss Piggy as Viktoria
Animal as a Cradle puppet (or a burrick)
Gonzo as Karras
Beaker as Cradle staff
Sam the Eagle as a Hammerite
Dr. Bunsen as a Fence
Here's a more serious idea:
Garrett never made it out of the Cradle. Twenty years have passed and the the City has gone to ruin due to Gamall's treachery. The Keepers (what's left of them) hide out in the the city of Blackbrook and they want to find Garrett if he's still alive. They send a young woman [insert name of favorite female lead FM character here] to the City because the cries of Lauryl has reached the ears of the Keeper's new seer. There's a new puppet in the Shalesbridge Cradle and there's a chance that Garrett can be brought back to the real world . . .
I hope that I will once start the "Flames of Blackbrook" campaign.
As for the "Muppet Thievery":  :weird: I think I'll pass that.

The Baron invites you to his home. While there he tells you instead of stealing something he wants you to asassinate someone. You are getting scruples in your old age and tell the Baron no.The Baron gets angry and kicks you out.A few days later you hear that Cuttys daughter,(ok this may not be real)has been kidnapped by the Baron who says unless you do the job,the daughter gets it.But instead of succumbing to the Barons demands you make plans to kidnap the Barons son instead. The story could unfold from there with a 5 or 6 mission campaign with the Barons men and you playing cat and mouse with seeing who will find the son or the daughter first. The Baron could hire other thieves to track you down or Keeper Assasins while you have to keep one step ahead of the Baron and his men.I would do this but I don't know my way around an editor at all.

Purging the Cradle
Takes place after t3. The city watch have recieved complaints of strange going ons at the cradle, and people have been reported as missing. finally, city watch sends a team in and finds the place to be filled with horrors unknown, and as the guards flee, the puppets chase them, and begin invading the city from within. something is going on! the city watch are now fighting a losing battle with the help of the hammers to push the puppits back to the cradle! cue garret.
It turns out that Gamall is making a last ditch effort to control the city, and is using old pagan magic to control and cultivate the dead and unsettled. Garret must stop her, blah blah yakkety smack, and purge the cradle once and for all by killing the core/seed/original patients/puppets and performing a ritual to rid the cradle of its sentience and to put the dead to rest.
of course, while this isnt impossible for me, i wouldnt be able to without some serious help, as i have several ideas, and would people to make the models and skins for
the original/cre patients, and post freakish-post-humanist Gamall
so this would take place in the city section right outside the cradle, complete with a contant ongoing and dynamic battle between the guards and hammers against the puppets, and the cradle itself, cleaned out, expanded, and combined into one level.
i would also need to learn how to give the puppets garrets pickup body animation, and get them to pick up and carry off dead bodies, deposit them in holes, and spawn a puppet for every body
:D

Here's a pretty radical idea; I'm pretty sure it's never been done before :
Garrett has to pay the rent...
so he needs to rob people and steal stuff...
:erm:

This thread will never be popular because most Thief levels are misteries to be solved. If you post the idea we already know.

here's an idea off the top of my head that happens after te events of thief: deadly shadows. with the entire keeper order thrown out, the keepers are suddenly at a loss. they've recently lost their leader orland as well as a number of outstanding members like artemus. what are the keepers to do?
Many, with their skills of secrecy and shadows, realise they have to adapt in order to survive because they have no other real world skills except those they learnt in the keeper compound. while this does produce a great deal of new librarians (not exactly thrilling game material) it could quite possibly produce a number of new thieves, spies and general sneakies up for hire. granted, the mercenary lifestyle doesnt fit the common idea of an ex-Keeper, but they do need the moolah and they do have the skills.
This is gonna cause problems for good ol' Garrett, newly appointed True Keeper. With such an overflow of Keepers come Mercs theres all sorts of chaos happening in the City. Lords are hiring spies to get dirt on their enemies, there are assassinations aplenty and the black market is being inundated with valuable scepters and other assorted goodies Lords like to keep around their manor.
This is really less of an idea of a specific FM and more of a general setting idea for a FM to be based. I suppose, as newly appointed True Keeper, Garrett gets a calling to put an end to the new order of the Keepers though how this would be done without ending in a series of assassinations i'm not sure, but i'm sure it could lend itself to a series of FM's if anyone put a bit more time and effort into it. seeing as im most likely to fiddle with the new editor for a while (once the bugger actually works) and then move on to other things, i leave this one to whoever might like it.

I'm planning on working on a 9 story mansion I never got around to making in T2, as well as a hedge maze and a Cathedral level....all will be connected in one large mission. I need to work out the logistics of the storyline again though, lol. The mansion is going to be gorgeous though hopefuly, and will be a place people will just want to walk through perhaps to check out the digs.
I am also going to be designing a level with friends that takes place in a 28 Days Later sort of fashion. AKA Garrett wakes up in a strange room inside a house, not knowing where he is or how he got there. There will be clues throughout the level as to how he did in fact end up there, just to add to the storyline. Most of the mission will be moody, aka no guards etc...just scarey as all heck. And, of course, there will be some suprises waiting :D especially in the funhouse maze I'm planning on including as part of the "get out" objective. Imagine "The Sword" from T1, but bigger and more funhousey.

I'd be happy if someone just made a really enjoyable thieving level. I just don't remember any really good stealing in TDS.
