I decided that Keeper's Training is way too big for a test subject. So I'll make an experimental map & create:
a runtime version with the gmp, ibt (map.ibt, KERNEL_*.ibt, MainMenu_*.ibt (KERNEL & MainMenu are generated along with the map)), gamesys, sounds, conversations, books, schema conversations, & flags.
* whatever else I may need to get customs running*
:p Who'll need to buy TDS when we're done?
a source version with *.unr, textures, sounds, scripts, etc.
It's time to copy & paste a map together. I think I'll call it Frankenthief.
I'll post links at the start of this thread when I'm done.

Thanks a lot for the help!
Most impressive ascottk! With the voices and everything - very nice. Just wondering if you have 'copied' the original or made it from scratch?
Thanks a lot for an awesome FM. :thumb:

If you're refering to Keeper's Training then I modifed what somebody coverted doing (
http://www.ttlg.com/wiki/wikka.php?wakka=ConvertT1T2) this & opened up a couple of rooms & I converted the original sounds & modified some textures with some poorly assembled scripts.
I didn't notice this until now but there's a list of Thief Gold conversions & their links on that page.

So, it's just a beta testing? It hasn't been released officially yet by chance?
I don't want to miss the first officially released T3 FM :)

Look (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=97524) here. GarrettLoader is making progress & Krellek's Labyrinth is making progress & people are working on the best way to distribute the FMs.
Ziemanskye's Townhouse has been released. I released the two Guinea Pigs just to see if we could get a runnable FM.

Thought I would do a quick Woooo Whoooo now :cheeky:
I tracked down the problem with GarrettLoader causing key bindings and brightness levels to be reset when installing an FM...I was... :erg: deleting the options.ini...or to put it more correctly backing it up then deleting the original. So I got GarrettLoader to now not delete the "User Options" folder and not to back it up as well (as if it were backed up then if things change it would restore an older version).
Thats pretty much all that it needs to do now for T3, appart from maybe an exe check to make sure that it is using the editor version of the exe and Shadowspawn's ibt repackaging process.. :thumb:
Althought there is still about 8% of the rest of the program to write/fix and 95% of the help to do (quite alot of help really due to the amount of stuff in there). It should take about 1 more week ;) (maybe 2 if my beta testers spot too many bugs...although I have hidden them well :joke: )
Any FM makers want to do some beta testing now?

potterr, you're AWESOME!!! :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:
Seriously, I and many others are very grateful for this amazing effort by you and others to help the rest of us have an easier time using T3Ed and playing new FMs from it. THANK YOU!

Komag, thats ok, I'm enjoying it, quite a challenge.
I would however like a few T3 FM makers to test the Readme maker for GL and make sure it contains everything they would need. :)
But first I shall go and watch Coldplay playing at Glastonbury live...now....
:D

*agrees with Komag*
Seriously, this is one of the most fundamental things we needed to get sorted; a working FM loader. Everything else depends on this, so good job! :thumb:
I would test, but, uh... I have my own T3Ed-related app to work on now, and I'm sure doing that would be more productive than trying to finish my FM so I have something to test.
