I downloaded KeepersTraining.IBT. And I can't run this mission. I placed IBT in Maps folder and tried to run "t3.exe KeepersTraining". The game freezes at loading screen.
What should I do?

Come on bukary, you know this (and are pretty much the proof of it now) - you need the gmp and ibt for it to work.

Sorry, guys! I've just got the impression that for some strange reason only Townhouse needs both files. :o
(BTW, that is really bad: I always thought that we only need IBT OR GMP. Having to download both files makes the whole process of FM distribution much harder. And the data contained in GMP+resources and IBT alone are, I guess, pretty much the same.)

You are right,
bukary. You need them both because GMP contains map, actor properties etc. and IBT contains just resources. IBT is sequence of chunks, each represents resource (chunk: header contains resource file relative path + some metadata and actual resource file content).
This is mentioned in (
http://www.ttlg.com/dave/t3ed/Thief%203%20Editor%20Setup%20and%20Information.doc) doc: "... to use an .ibt file you need both it and the .gmp it came from originally...".

Might just be me.. But im no good 'editor' after doing as the readme suggest i start the game.. It starts loading and suddenly kick me to desktop, never got inside the mission.. So what am i doing wrong? :p
Edit: Trying out the Keeper Mission.

Taffer4life - couple of potential things:
Do you have both the .ibt and the .gmp files?
Do you have the editor version of t3.exe?
Do you have the editor's T3MainReleaseVersion.exe or T3MainOptVersion.exe? And is one of them renamed to T3Main.exe?

Are you trying to run Keeper's Training? Good luck because it's a mess. I've only started learning level design when T3Ed came out & often times I didn't know what I was doing. I did manage to run it on a non-editor install but it was mixed with the Minimalist Project.
Come to think of it, I didn't include the Kernel_*.ibt stuff & it might've been necessary because I had a lot of custom stuff in there.
If anyone has problems with Keeper's Training then post it here. It might be necessary if we have these kind of maps with a lot of custom stuff. I might send the training mission to thiefmissions.com.
