So after a good deal of wrangling, I managed to get T2X to run with my Steam version of Thief 2. I got the cutscenes to play and the levels to load without crashing after installing Newdark. However, I'm still having one very obnoxious problem that's unique to T2X: whenever I bring up the map, menu, objectives screen, or read a note, I get a few seconds of screen flickering as the resolution changes back and forth. This doesn't happen in T2 or even Thief Gold (both are Steam versions).
