T2X got bashed so much simply for being compared to the original missions that it's high time to praise it, because it's a terrific piece of fan work that outshines almost all other fan missions. So, what did you like about it?

* Making important but easy to miss items in the missions glow and thus save the player from a hard, long time looking for them.

i enjoyed t2x a lot ,it was a amazing set of missions and i loved how they tied in garrett time in at same time just in a different area of world ,showing the keepers are through out the world at that time
and since i am a downwinder alot of the missions had my fellow crew in them,i still got one of the dragon gem eye's :P

T2X was great but.."outshines almost all other fan missions.." I can't go there. I'd rank it up there but could name 50 + missions and campaigns that leave it in the dust. Of the top of my tired head...Drk, Melan, Lady R, Gaetane, Esh, ...

I love T2X, warts and all. It has a great overall atmosphere and a sense of freshness, helped by the tons of new art, new main character (and female at that), some new kinds of locations (a quiet, snow-covered city; a train; a haunted house; a smuggler's hideout) and a couple of truly great and memorable undead-style missions, the second of which is downright chilling.
Too many great AI conversations to count, many of them extremely funny too. Same with the readables, some great writing in those, both humourous and otherwise.
The cutscenes are rough in terms of character animation, but show great work in sets, atmosphere and general cinematography. The Thief-style black-and-white-still-picture type briefings are well done and convincingly authentic-looking.
There's a sense of playfulness and the team was obviously open to fresh and unusual ideas, respecting Thief but also putting their own stamp on it. The candy store and the brothel are two examples of them not being afraid to have fun with it and be a little silly, which I like. I think the coolest overall thing might be that it's really an honest effort at a complete fan-made Thief game (and presented as such) rather than just a campaign; it more or less fits nicely into canon (except that one bit near the end is debatable in its timing, but whatever) and it's really given the total-conversion treatment and treated as a standalone Thief game. That sort of makes it feel special. It's a cohesive, full-length, thiefy, fun, entertaining, atmospheric campaign. It's not perfect, but I love it all the same.

I really enjoyed Down among dead men. That was a blast to ironman through even tough the mission was totally ludicrous and over the top. The hammerite monastery was also fun but I always thought the mission recycling got really out of hand in this campaign.
Also the visual design of some missions were really great here, especially the first mission with the endless rain and the really awesome haunted house.
One thing that could have been done better is the size of the missions. Only a few feel as large as some T2 levels.

I can't praise T2X enough. :)
Firstly, the overall feel of the game is amazing. The part of the Thief world, created by the develpoers fits perfectly into Thief universe (although the timeline seems a bit choppy). It also feel very real, with all the secondary characters living their lives, solving their problems and so on. It's hard to forget, say, a hammerite priest with spice addiction. :)
Secondly, I really enjoyed the art-style. Almost every location in the game looks... cute. Yeah, that's the right word - cute. Being also the color-lighting freak that I am, I really enjoyed how the lighting was handled by the developers. And then there's the sound. I really liked the ambients in the original games, but the sound in T2X I liked even more. It is, probably, my favorite part about the game. The ambients of T2X caused goosebumps all the time.
Speaking of the sound, I can't omit the new voices. While the quality seems debatable at times, one thing is certain: it feels fresh. I would also like to point out the conversations. A lot of them are extremely funny (especially in The Question of Knowledge). And, of course, there are readables (a lot of them!), many of which are hilarious!
Of the new gameplay tools, I really enjoyed EMP grenades. However, I don't unerstand how an EMP grenade can switch off a steam-powered robot. I also think the grenades a bit imbalanced. It would be nice if lights swhitched back on after some time, or if the grenades made more noise (they're very quiet and super-safe to use).
I would also like to stop at several missions, which I enjoyed the most.
While the City Sleeps. It's a relatively small city mission, which looks very cute. Despite its size, I really like how interconnected it is. There are a lot of different passages to take and the first time playing through it took me quite a while to explore.
The Question of Knowledge. This was the mission I enjoyed the most in my first playthrough. The one absolutely special place in a mission is the chapel. When I first entered it from the cold streets, looked at the magnificent arechitecture and heared the organ music, it made me feel really warm. I'm not religious, I never go to church in real life, but being in that place in the game, I felt really peaceful and cozy. You could almost say, I felt the Builder's love :) And of course, the conversations are among the most hilarious I've heared in the world of Thief. The conversation between the cook and the hammerite or between a Sunnyport hammer and a mainland one - those always crack me up.
Down Among Dead Men. One of the best undead missions ever created. I think, in one of his videos, Fen said that this mission has the best use of colored lighting ever, and I can't agree more. It's an amazingly atmospheric place. I would also like to point out the sound in this mission. Of all the undead levels I've played, even RttC (Builder forgive me), this one has the best ambients. The mission itself is fairly linear though, which is not very good, but it more than makes up for that.
Art of Deception. While I don't enjoy this mission gameplay-wise too much, I want to say that the developers nalied the atmosphere of a tourist town. In real life I've visited such places, which flourish during the tourist season and look like ghost-towns in the off-season. Playing this, I immediately felt that atmosphere. And again, I would like to point out the sound. The 30-second ambient loop, that plays in the city is among the best ambients I've ever heared. I can't really explain how, but it just communicates the atmosphere to me magically. Oh, and the candyshop is very well designed. It's small and has only one guard, but that guy covers the area so well, that it's sometimes even frustrationg to deal with him :)
Of Ill Repute. Again, one of the most atmospheric places I've had a pleasure to visit. The brothel looks and feels and sounds(!) real. The ambients are superb yet again. The brothel itself is pretty compact, but still with multiple routes to naviagte. I also like how many entranes there are: two doors, a window on the first floor, a balcony, a well that leads into the basement and there might be even more. I also like, that getting into the brothel territory is not hard - there is literally a gap in the wall, where you can enter. I think it's a nice touch :)
The Grand Hotel. My favorite T2X mission as of now, just because it's the biggest and most complex one. The hotel feels real, whith a room, where someody tried to pry the boards to get into the safe, or with a "party hard room" where there are passed out guests :) It also features extremely funny conversations (about piece of cheese under the bed).
Considering how much new resources are used in T2X, and how it feels like a standalone retail game, I like to see it as another original game. Yes, it's still a fan work, but a tremendous one.
By the way, if you like T2X, I'd recommend watching "The Making of T2X developer commentary". I enjoyed it quite a lot.

As Sly said, there are many fm-beasts (though 50+ seems pretty steep) out there that outshine T2x. Which imo also outshine most of the OM. Yet "Down among dead men" has really stuck with me.

This is what did it in for me. Well, tastes are different. Yet the brothel being silly?

So, what did you like about it?
++ female protagonist
++ concentrating on fresh enemies, not just pagans/hammers/citywatch
++ the feeling of dread at the beginning/the horrible, scary cutscene after The Cure
++ the snow covered village/train
++ new items and happy undead slashing
++ Down among dead men, since undead missions have to do extra well for me

Broken Triad for sure is one of them.
The first mission one it's own yes, this is a true masterpiece. Especially the screwy story.
Yet the second mission turned me off first playthrough and after a second I still have to say it doesn't grow on me. Especially the ending with
Brother Reginald doing the work while I relax a bit felt anticlimactic for me.
I just replayed COSAS 2 Mission X - even with my cliffnotes from walkthroughs before it took a long and very fun time. This is one for me.
