I tried playing the Thief2X FM but it crashes to desktop. So I uninstalled Thief2, re-installed a clean copy and then ran DDfix for the 1.18 patch.
Before installing T2X again I tried vanilla Thief2 but I got the same problem I had before regarding messed up colours and the Widescreen patch wouldn't recognise the exe. Also, I tried a DDfixThief2 specific patch and it says I need DirectX 6 or higher...well 11 is higher than 6 but apparntly that's no good.
When I tried T2X it says my cam.cfg resolution doesn't match DDfix, but it is the same!
Resetting the res to 800x600 T2X gets as far as loading the first mission and then crashes.
I reinstalled Thief2 and applied JUST the 1.18 patch without any DDfix or Widenscreen stuff, then installed T2X. Both games say the CD is not in the drive when it is. So I guess the 1.18 patch has fudged something up.
But how do I get Thief2X to work?
