Concealment potions (Invis. potions) are behaving strangely. They used to make me 100% invisible and mute but now if I run or get under light source I'm not invisible while under effect.
Is this because I dont have new dark version or am I missing something?

Concealment potions always behaved like this. They make you darker but not fully invisible.

A concealment potion isn't a invisibilty potion, it just adds a metaproperty which changes visibility control for some time. There are no invisibilty potions in T2x.
A real invisibilty potion as can be found in Thief 2 makes you invisible. It even removes all AIAttack links from AIs to the player.

Really?
I'm 100% sure I was able to pull of some stunts I'm unable to pull of now.
At one point my light gem was fully lit while under influence of concealment potion.

Examine the T2x gamesys in DromEd.

I wanted to revisit Thief 2 X and, on a new computer, downloaded the zip file linked to in this thread. I then ran it through AngelLoader as if it were a typical FM. It works! But, everything is enhanced! That, or my memory of Thief 2 X is very, very bad (considering how many times I've played through it, I doubt that).
When I ran T2Fix on my current computer, I deselected all the non-required options: no enhanced skies, no enhanced anything. When I run Thief 2 or any other FM, all through AngelLoader, things appear as they should: non-enhanced. But for Thief 2 X, that is not the case. Why would this be?
I include a few screenshots below:
Thief 2X - enhanced sky (why?)

And why would Thief 2 X be enhanced when I didn't select enhancements when installing T2Fix?
I also remember on my old PC, Windows 7, I ran a vanilla Thief 2 X via a New Dark Thief 2. Perhaps I'm remembering incorrectly, but if not, I'd do anything to get that setup again.
I'll keep trying to figure it out, but if anyone here can offer some advice, it'd be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

is'ent there 2 version of t2x "original" and "newdark rerelease version"
the way i remember it ran was from desktop icon of t2x,not through newdark or fmsel
^the way i remember it and wow that water looks so bad,the sky not so much
voodoo47 on 27/6/2019 at 07:34
if you have used the T2xFix beta, new water and skies will be added. delete them from the T2x folder.
Jax64 on 27/6/2019 at 07:39
The Thief 2x ZIP that is most readily available actually incorporates the enhanced water and skies. This behavior is not related to T2Fix in any way, however. This release of T2x makes several changes to the missions themselves as well with the intention of making them more compatible with NewDark, thus making it the recommended way to play the campaign.
If you want no graphical enhancements of any form while using this release, you must modify the installed data, which will be located in the "FM" subdirectory of your Thief 2 installation unless this was deliberately changed. In the T2x FM directory, remove the following files or folders:
-fam\skyhw
-fam\waterhw
-all *.dml files, as they configure the enhanced skies

@downwinder: Yes, that is the way Thief 2 X was originally launched, on its own (loosely speaking). But that version won't run through NewDark, I don't believe.
To get it running you'd have to use a separate Thief 2 install, sans NewDark, and apply DDfix.
@voodoo47 and @Jax64: I haven't used the T2xFix beta, but I did see those new water and sky folders, and all the dml files, so I deleted them. It worked! Thank you very much for the help!
However, were there any other enhancements in this version? Updated textures, for example? The brick and stone textures on those two buildings at the back here, especially, look updated.

I think they did - I remember T2X had some different looking objects - but I want to be sure. Some other objects, like the sandbags, looked somewhat updated (but I may just be paranoid here).
