Unless you have left the mansion, you can go back and get it. You will need it in the mansion. There are too many guards to kill and it makes too much noise.
Go back through the sewer up into the morgue and back into the prison to get it and anything else you missed. Moss arrows, water arrows, black jack etc.

Strange.......
Looking for loot in mission 2, I returned to the museum. A second crystal sword was pushing the mace accross the floor. It passed through the wall, pushed me along (doing damage) and floated up to the ceiling where it stopped. See link.

Hi, I am now building my second flying machine after crashing the first one :p but I can't find the lever that opens the second big set of doors to let the second machine out.
I try to use the lever that's closest to that closed door and it says to open the big doors first.
The second machine is already on the ground on that little track platform and it's unhooked from the grapple also. Tarp is removed as well.

It's been a looong time since I played that mission. But according to the walkthru, there should be levers near the south and west walls you have to pull.

There is a big lever on the ground close to the door but that,s the one that says to open the big door first.
OK I just went to that walkthrough link and it's ON the wall lol. I never thought to check the wall. Thanks very much

What a hilariously absurd concept for Thief. I love it! The mansion interlude seemed a little out of place tonally and its puzzles were quite confusing; but the mid-air zeppelin intercept and escaping by parachute and then the build your own flying machine sequence was all wonderful fun. A delightful campaign! This'll soon be added to my LPs.

Fix for an age old bug of the original CorpseFrobHack script, which causes players to pick up the swords (when using auto equip) the enemy AI's are carrying rather than picking up the unconscious bodies and a little dml to reposition a couple of scrolls.
