Thanks all for answers and help! Actually I don't remember mantling or climbing over any wall :D and even have new mantle disabled. Maybe I just visited certain places in wrong order, I remember the kitchen was one of the last places I visited.

Just FYI, there are some recent (NewDark) missions where having it disabled might make the mission impossible to complete. Just something to be aware of.

When I'm using the Ouija board, the planchette is moving insanely slow. Like I have to wait an hour of real time to get the message... Is this intentional or a bug?
I remember seeing similar bug in one other FM (don't remember the name - you had to shoot an arrow somewhere so that giant hammer moved to reveal some entrance.. I had to wait about 15 minutes for this damn hammer to move..). Looks like the same bug...
PS: using NewDark 1.23
Update: fixed it by changing following in cam_ext.cfg:
1. Uncommented use_hi_res_timer
2. Uncommented phys_freq 60
3. Commented out SlowFrame 4
(NOTE: those were the default NewDark settings that caused the glitch...)

Are there any other gothic horror missions like The Rose Cottage? I just love the atmosphere in this mission and would love anything similar.

There really isn't anything else quite like Rose Cottage but there are plenty horror/scary missions. Check the stickies at the top of the FM forum for a link to missions by type. And by all means play Saturnine's "The 7th Crystal" as it's quite good too.
