Yeah, come to think of it, I never saw it in RC either, so that's probably why I don't see it in DCE too.

I finished Rose Cottage last night and enjoyed it as much or more as any Thief mission I have played. Saturnine, you really did make a super scary mission. I just joined this forum and found out about Rose Cottage. A must play. I did not find all the cards but I did take over 5 hours to play the mission and that was really taking my time looking. I hated to finish the game. Please don't stop working on missions as you do a fantastic job of programming. Thanks again.

Hi, just played this one (behind in plenty of FMs, obviously), and it was so fantastic and very creepy. Loved it! However, it doesn't end for me, no way, nohow. I'd have to ctrl-alt-shift-end for that, but there's really no need (no loot, secrets to track).
I think it stemmed from the way I got inside the mausoleum/cemetery gate to the west, adjacent the main yard. This is just after you get 'chased' by the dress manikin to the vent entrance that leads to the morgue courtyard. I (later) proceeded the way I thought was expected---at the manikin, climb the small rail, walk across the slanted ledge leading to the wall connecting to the 'west gate' (but you're actually walking on an elevated invisible ledge (didn't know until I tried it, of course)), then onto the wall and jump down--best to jump onto the gate switch itself to avoid injury, then open the gate. From that point, I was able to proceed 'backwards' to where I eventually found was the intended entrance to this whole area, at the fountain drain grate. I hadn't gotten past the large padlock atop a ladder by this point, therefore I hadn't gotten into the kitchen yet. After that, I had found the main objective, rested the five souls, and gotten 14 of the 20 tarot (optional), so it should have ended. Not until I got all 20 tarot did I get the final 'objective complete' at the entrance gate, but still no mission end. But man, was it fun and engrossing! On beyond the top of the wall just north of the 'west gate', which you can get to by some manipulation of the gate itself (closing it but running out the gate as well, leaving one side closed and one ajar), it's a get-on-top-of-the-world free-for-all! :-)

That invisible thing you're walking on was put there to stop you climbing over the wall that way, not to help you :p

With a bit of effort you can get to lots of places you probably should not. I remember climbing the roof of the house and I think I might have gotten on top of that last bit too.

Lol, well, it didn't really do its job, did it? :cheeky: Still, you'd think it wouldn't have amounted to the nullification of the game's natural ending... oh well
Crud, I can't post these unique views now, since the site I had for that has folded....time to hook up with a new one, hopefully a free one!

I doubt the lack of ending is related to you climbing walls, you've missed something. Probably a readable related to Stan's evil plan it's been a very long time so I can't actually remember exactly what you have to do but you do have to find out what was going on to complete the mission, not just deal with the ghosts

crowemagnon - recommend PhotoBucket: free, loads of space provided & I've never had any trouble there.
I hear ImageShack is also very good.
