Too scary now that I've seen the competition!
Cheers Russ it's good to be back, and that was my daughter a couple of posts up, she's really getting back into Thief as well.

Heh, yes I noticed her post. So just pass along your Dromed knowledge to her and get her hooked, and it'll be almost as good as having madwolf back!
Don't feel bad about being intimidated by Saturnine - we all are! :eww:

I finished the mission, loved every second of it :)
And yes, the intro was amazing, what was the theme song? Because i really liked it.

Its from a band called *London After Midnight*. The name of the song is called Demon. I love them myself. You can find their stuff oh YouTube. :)

I just read the whole thread* and didn't find my problem described by anyone else, so I'm not even sure if this is the right place to bring this up: Whenever I try to load a saved game (quicksave or regular) Rose Cottage crashes. This does not happen to the bunch of other fanmissions I just tested saving and loading with.
Searching the forums I stumbled over a report of (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=117720&p=1817269&viewfull=1#post1817269) that very bug being solved which is interesting to hear but does not really help in my case (I checked: it
is mission 22 in the missflag.str). Then I found (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=51314&p=566750&viewfull=1#post566750) this thread apparently dealing with the same problem, only that deleting, renaming and pasting the new file back didn't work for me. Seeds of Doubt seems to have (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=104821&p=1422811&viewfull=1#post1422811) something similar for at least one person but here we never know if and how it was fixed.
I mean, ha, it sure does add to the overall crap-I'm-totally-lost-feeling if you can't save - but hitting quickload in a startled knee-jerk reaction only to realize a moment later that you just lost the entire progress
again kinda makes you rush through the stuff you've already seen, and that ruins the whole experience.
I'm using ddfix and running Metal Age on an AMD Athlon X2 240 system (Win XP, SP 2). Got a Radeon HD 4800 that makes it look just fine on 1680x1050. Also, so far, I haven't encountered any lags or slowdowons in the mission. If the information are relevant in any way.
Oh, also the (
http://s11b.directupload.net/file/d/2079/vakelm38_jpg.htm) sky looks like this if I reach a certain easy-to-accidentally-engage angle. Don't know if this is related at all, it's a lot less annoying than the load-thing anyway.
Can anybody help about this?
* Well, more like skimmed it, and still ran over a few mild spoilers. Hope they're hurt.
