with the grafix on this one. Talk about creepy. How long did it take you to build this FM anyway? :thumb:
I finally got the odd FMs to work when I reinstalled T2 for just DL 4.3 and renamed the old T2 for just GL :) Since I finally bothered with the whole new install I also updated the sound F/X for T2. I think that helped a lot...
I guess I should start with the last page now that I'm stuck, but I did get the 6,4,3 riddle... I got the loft key & went in there, but I can't get any further for now.
I felt the hairs on my neck stand up when what ever that was came running towards me when I was heading for the office :cheeky: Oh & when the bedroom door took off down the hall I instantly thought of Poltergeist the movie...
I must ask one thing though, why is raggedy Ann moving all around? I stopped dead in my tracks when I first saw her...hehehe
I must say I'm enjoying this one a lot :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

Wow! I am thoroughly impressed with this mission! Thanks so much for the thrills, Sat! Gorgeous and creepy from start to finish!
After a long time away from Thief FMs, I'm glad I made this one my first in coming back. And this one will surely get a replay, as I did not take the time to search for all of the tarot cards the first play through. I believe my break from FMs added to the general spook of things though, since normally I would not have found it such a personal accomplishment each time I was able to add one more to my mental list of rooms/areas that I was no longer afraid to enter. Perhaps on the second run through I can muster up the courage to open all of the drawers in the fridge; I was barely able to open the one I knew I needed to in order to reach that ledge and grate.
To my surprise I only needed helpful nudges with two things: 1 finding the hairpin, and 2 finding the stairs down from the attic.

Holy water: frob the fountain in the chapel. Lure the thieves in it.

Thanks PotatoGuy, I figured it out after awhile.
I do have another question though. Where's the key to the door in the loft? Or is this where the hairpin that I've been reading about comes in?
Where is the hairpin anyway?

Don't wanna read the whole thread so... I climbed over the wall to the catacombs and I've killed the ghosts in the crematorium and the mortuary but now I'm running in circles not knowing what to do. I haven't gained access to the loft (which I guess is the designed access to the ballroom/mortuary/etc areas). I have a hairpin, crowbar, shovel and the mansion and chapel keys. I've been everywhere and tried everything on everything (guess not).

Instead of climbing the wall to the crematorium and morgue, take a
walk on the roof instead. (Once you get outside, past the 5-6 'shop display dummys/bodies' turn right and walk along the roof)

Wow, nice and beautiful mission!
Fantastic Intro Movie.
That is 3 texture intensive mansion missions for me in the past 3 nights.
I have not found all the cards yet, but have finished this mission though.
I blew chunk of cholesterol out of my heart into my left shoulder when I first saw that hallway extend with the door that had the wreath on it in the upstairs of the mansion. After the next time I loaded a saved game it did not have the same effect. However, the dressing mannequin following me around added some very nice creepiness and kept my heart rate at close to a nice dangerous level I seem to be addicted to.
So it will not surprise me if someone finds my carcass in front of my PC with a frozen hideous face with one hand on the mouse, the other clutching my chest, while some well done FM from this old game is making it's usual music, noises, and sounds from my speakers.
For those that are having frobability difficulties and texture problems, I had some similar problems.
It was resolved by running this mission in a separate FM folder specifically for Darkloader 4.3 and making sure GarretLoader did not have anything but the Original T2 file loaded. After this, the game played fine for me.
After that I did not run it in GL at all, I only loaded and ran Rose Cottage from DL 4.3; if you do this, hopefully, it should run okay as long as it is not mixing with any textures and scripts from other, or previous FMs that might be loaded in Garrettloader.
If you do have another FM in GL other than the original T2 and try to run Darkloader FMs it might screw up your T2 installation, so be careful.
