OK, this mission looks incredible, and the audio work is breathtaking. However, I am completely stuck.
I'm trying to
open the safe. I have the numbers from the Ouija board (6, 4 and 3) but any combination of those numbers on the levers under the safe seems to have no effect. I've tried pushing the third, fourth and sixth levers from the left down, then pushing the button, and again with those levers up and the rest down. I've tried pushing the first six levers down, then pushing the button, then four levers, then three. No effect. I've tried a random six levers, then reducing the four, then three. I have no idea what else to try. There are a couple of people who said that they had that problem occur. First
go back downstairs to the board room then back upstairs and try the safe again. For some reason that fixed the problem for them. If it still doesn't work then go back to an earlier save.
When you have finished with the Ouija board, go upstairs and pull the levers 6,4,3 then press the button on the right. A light should turn on and the safe should be frobbable. There is a key in the safe that you need. SNAP:ZOMBEH :)

Yes, the cemetery was inspired from Egyptian Avenue and the Circle of Lebanon in Highgate Cemetery, London. :)
Ha! I knew it!
And curse you (or whoever it was) for stealing my idea before I even had it myself!

Actually, I have decided that if I ever have tons o' money and need a house designed... a creepy Victorian house designed... I am hiring you lot.
Wonderful mission, creepy dolls (I hate dolls) and great plot. I think now I am ready to sign up with Ghost Hunters or Adventurers or something.
Thank you

Thanks caffeinatedzombeh and ShadowCreepr; going back to the oujia board and then upstairs again did the trick and it just popped open! :)
Of course, then I went and closed the attic hatch, permanently locking it again, setting me back half an hour cos I was only quicksaving! :(
Still, I don't really mind cos I'm having a blast! The later sections remind me of the Half-Life mod They Hunger! (which is a good thing!)
The best moment by FAR up to this point was when I went to the mortician's study and the footsteps and weird growl came out of the room. The fact that the sounds really did move sent a shiver down my spine. I don't know whether that was done with multiple ambients or just an invisible AI conversation, but however it was done, it was terrifying!

November 22 and I STILL haven't managed to finish this mission. Sheesh. Its actually *hard*. Of course, it doesn't help that its so tense I have to take it in little doses. I can't handle a lot of tension right now on top of whats going on in my life. But I can't quite NOT play this either.
Its a beautiful mission. Somewhat laggy in spots, although I found shutting it down and restarting it helps that when it starts to be a problem.
Still missing three of the ghosts. They're hiding from me I think.
So far I've been 'lucky' with the startling spots and have sort of missed them. Not - entirely, but the bits before opening the safe have all caught me at the edge. I glance away at just the wrong (or right?) second, or approach something sideways so when the event triggers I'm not even entirely sure I saw it. Heh Nicely done, though. The 'surprise' in the dining room actually had me a bit confused. "Er, wasn't it this way before? When did it change? No, I must be remembering wrong. No, I could swear it was the other way." lol
I don't think I'm being terribly observant while playing.
The only thing thats made me jump so far is the dumb doll. Then just to make myself feel better I went and got the ball from the child's room and started bouncing it off the silly thing to try to knock it over. It didn't work of course, but I did feel better. Sometimes silly games like that in dark places make the mood lighter. :D Of course it got revenge on me when it moved and I jumped out of my skin again. Sheesh. Wish I had a sword, I think I'd just hack the silly thing.
Nice job though. Still having a bit of trouble finding out whats going on, though. I think I'm missing some readables somewhere. Time to go in and finish. :)

If you have found the crowbar, then go back out the loft door again, and close it behind you. You'll figure out where to go.

We have a problem translating this mission into Russian. Everything's OK, but we still have no ideas how to translate a title.
What does the word "Rose" mean? Is it a name of a person? Is it a name of a flower? Couldn't find a single rose in the level, but many empty pots in the conservatory. Maybe they WERE here?
Any clues, please - WHY "Rose"???

That's the euphemism for the full place name itself Basil -
a "Rose" is a type of flower!

I have no idea how translations work though - i have no idea if you need to translate rose then cottage or if there is a russian euphemism/slang for the one that "rose cottage" means - using that would be the best for russian speakers to understand right away!
