I just got rid of the second haunted guard .... what's next? Batteries??? I really don't know where to go from here :eww:

If you mean that you've already taken care of the ghost in the morgue, then...
1.Go to the upstairs mezzanine (the area that overlooks the dining room) and read the note on the door.
A more obvious hint:
2.Go through the mannequin storage area to the outdoor balcony again, but this time, close the door once you're outside and step onto the roof.

I can't understand the (few) complaints.
To start, it was very haunting and atmospheric and then yes, it changed once you got down to business, because you then had something to focus on.
It was just so refreshing.
Horses for courses I guess.
I don't like frag 'em games and this suited me perfectly.
Got a screen shot of the first time we see the doll on my desktop.
