Gloria, stopping in the water is quite effective too, just run over it, stop, turn round to look at whatever's following you then dodge a sword swipe or two. It is often much more effective than running around in a panic hoping you can run faster than they can

I got as far as the working zoetrope (zoom in to really appreciate it,) and the Ouija Board( and that's when I decided I need to go and start over at a better time and savor this masterpiece more than is my usual!
In other words, this mission is too good for me at the moment, whatever that means!

Let me join the choir in praising this brilliant masterpiece:thumb:
Being a perfectionist, however, the joy is not complete without the last 2 Tarot cards missing on my list (9 and 19) - so I'd very much appreciate receiving an email copy of the list mentioned in the previous posts. Thank you in advance:D

Thanks Demagogue. I´ll try that.
The weirdest thing happenend to me ...
When I quit the FM last night and wanted to start it up this evening ... all my saves were gone :nono: :weird:
Now I have to start all over again. Let´s see what that does to my saves of this evening :erm:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
and on a neg note:
EZ-52, i just played DP - uh uh - no freakin way was it better - i will check out it's sequel but DP itself - so what? :bored:
a bunch of sounds with nothing to menace me aint scary! neither is
an empty box flying out of a room and smashing against the wall AWAY FROM ME! again, so what?
a
big spider? hah, one backstab and it's
spider steaks for dinner!
and the ending, i am sorry,
trapped and killed by zombies - pretty cruddy to me!
(sorry FM author, i just feel this way!)
part of scariness to me is the atmosphere it is set in, and a haunted victorian house has that in spades vs a mere warehouse!
(not to mention one that's part of a mortuary to boot!!!)

Ok, that was cool.
missed about half the tarot cards - big deal, it's still a stellar example of just how much life is left in the old T2 engine... It was very refreshing to have a level where I wanted to spend time just running around and looking at things.
A while back there was a thread here about making a scary level, and this does a great job of using the techniques of building tension and a sense of helplessness without resorting to the pointless gore people associate with the genre today.
You started out by taking people out of their comfort zone by stripping anything remotely resembling defense or offense. Likely many players will run around looking for their Holy water, water arrows, fire arrows and sword when they just aren't there. From there we got many of the 'classics' of the simple suprise, the doll and dressmaking mannequins following you around, doors slammed in your face, noises you can't pinpoint the source of... but they feel fresh in this environment and while pervasive, they were not at all overused... Though the last time the doll appears below the cemetary it was a bit like "Oh, hi you! Isn't she cute?".
Had a friend over while playing, and when I got to the dining room I said "huh, symmetrical chair stacking." - without missing a beat she said: "You're right. No human being would stack chairs like this."
Bottom line? This is ANOTHER of those fan missions I talk about when I say professional game developers should be taking clues from instead of churning out the stupid 'boss fight' schlock that pervades commercial endeavors. (F.E.A.R. 2 "reborn" much?!? Arkham Asylum? The latter really falls apart every time there's a boss)... This one goes right alongside Rocksburg and Broken Triad in the "WOW" list.
... and ask around, I hand out compliments with a thimble.

Hi everyone, I was wondering if someone could either PM me or post some hints for cards 5,6, and 9. This beautiful mission deserves to be fully completed.
